Tip #5 has me worried and terribly upset. I go to Vegas with a specific plan to drink too much, which is certain to lead to stupid mistakes, and this process inevitably ends with total exhaustion.

I'm screwed.

I really only have a couple of rules I follow. I stay at locals casinos or downtown so getting around at night doesn't pose much of a problem. If I'm at a locals place, I usually get back to it for the evening. I won't drink and drive, so it makes sense not to at night after a couple. If I'm downtown, I stick to Fremont or Fremont East at night. No backstreet route from ElCo to the Cal or MSS. In fact since I'm usually solo, I'll leave those two for day jaunts. When it comes to money, I bring what I think I'll need and leave the rest in the safe. In addition to the risk factor, it also keeps me from chasing good money after bad. I think I'm long past that anyway, but you never know.

Those are my only concerns, but I can see how women might have more concerning purse safety. As Elaine Benus once said, "I don't know how you walk around with those things!"

Yes,don't carry your entire WADD with you,most rooms safes are free.
The last time I needed a bigger money clip.No,really.
My buddy uses a money belt,but I carry my cash in my front pocket and an RFID-resistent credit card case,too!
You guys with boots could carry $$ in your boots.Cowboykell?
Crossover purse or fanny pack are both good ideas.RFID case for your CC's is worth considering.
You need LOT'S of pockets to carry your swag.Cargo pants are way practical if not in fashion.
To bad they make your butt look too fat,ladies.Black ones are better.

Provative? For me,that means CLEAVAGE and a Wonderbra. Like steel to a magnet.
High heels are a foolish choice to gamble in. (Nice ass,lady)

Used to be a spooky walk between the FSE and lady Luck,Downtown to the Strat is still spooky.

Take a bathroom break at the VP bar? CASH OUT,you dummy. Too many locals prey on trusting tourists.

If you PLAN on getting hammered,end up at where you are staying. Wheelchair rides to your room are free and security will cash out your chips for you.(It happened again).

If you get cut off,just B-4 the dealer says that,
"Are you staying with us?"


Never had a problem with the tourist/gamblers.
It's with the locals. Just be aware of your surroundings. It's OK to "profile" someone.If you feel uncomfortable with their questions,GO AWAY.

I would add, don't tell anyone which hotel you're staying at. If you hit something big, they just might wait around that hotel to jump you.
