8th Annual Weenie Dog Football Challenge

I have another guaranteed winner this week.

I am betting against the San Francisco 49ers for the second straight week.

San Francisco is weak this year, but a surprising win over the Minnesota Vikings is keeping the odds in check. And the Arizona Cardinals are a darn good team again this year.

I have the Red Birds covering the 6 1/2-point spread this week.

Good luck, Roscoe!
Here is my pick of the week...hopefully it will be my first winner of the season. I surely need it.

I think the New England Patriots will cover the 13.5 point spread over the Jaguars.

Brady has been playing GREAT these past two weeks, and the team as a whole, is looking VERY good.

Good luck to those who are making these weenie wagers!

Week #3 provided a double dose of weenie winners for the first time this season.

Blackjack's Cardinal's pick was a blow out winner as they whopped on those Niners 47-7

Roscoe's Patriots pick was another blow out winner, as the Pats whipped those Jaguars to submission with a 51-17 stomping!

****Standings After week #3 ****

1st place Blackjack Pooch with a record of 2-1

2nd place Roscoe with a record of 1-2

Better luck next week boys!

We pups are rolling now! Let's keep it rolling!

I will be traveling on dog business this week so I am going to get my automatic win pick in now. I will take the Seattle Seahawks minus-9 points over the visiting Detroit Lions next Monday night.

The Seahawks are suffering from a hangover of two straight Super Bowl appearances and a stupid call at the of end of last year's game that cost them back-to-back championships. But they will manhandle a Detroit team next week. Have you seen that Lions' offensive line? Ugh.

Seattle covers the 9-point spread.

Good luck Roscoe and everyone else making bets this week!

It feels good to finally get that first win of the season. I hope I can keep the streak going with another win this week.

I am taking the Atlanta Falcons -6 over the Houston Texans this week. Between Ryan, Freeman, and Jones, this Atlanta Falcons team looks like a very strong team this year.

Houston hasn't shown much promise this year, on the offensive side of the ball, this should be a blow out.

Good luck to all of those, who are making these weenie wagers this week.

Week #4 evened up the score.

Roscoe's Falcons pick was another blow out winner, as the Falcons whipped those Texans to hell with a 48-21 stomping!

Blackjack's Seahwaks pick was a loser, as the hawks won the game, but did not cover the 9 point spread, winning 13-10 over the Lions

****Standings After week #4 ****

1st place (Tie) Roscoe with a record of 2-2

1st place (Tie) Blackjack Pooch with a record of 2-2

Better luck next week boys!

Ready for a guaranteed winner?

I know 8 1/2 points is a lot of points to give up on the road, but I am taking the undefeated New England Patriots to win big at Dallas. The Patriots have an impressive record against NFC teams going back a dozen years.

Want more reasons to pick New England? Your choice of Brandon Weedon or Tom Brady? And Dez Bryant is out. DeMarco Murray is an Eagle. Need any more evidence?

New England minus 8 1/2 points is the pick!

Roscoe, may I suggest you take the Washington Redskins plus 7 1/2 points vs. Atlanta? I'm just trying to help, brother.

Oh yeah baby...make that two wins in a row for this brown weenie.

This week, I am going with the Atlanta Falcons -8.5 again, over the Washington Redskins.

The Falcons are for real this year, and who knows which Skins team is going to.

I see the Falcons running the ball till the skins can't take no more, then passing to Julio Jones for another pair of touch downs!

Easy money with the Falcons this week and Roscoe gets his third win in a row!

Good luck to all of those who are making these weenie wagers.

I earned an extra doggy cookie for my pick this week. Roscoe, I tried to help you by suggesting a pick for you, but you are a stubborn weenie.

Better luck next week.
Results from Week #5 (B-J takes the lead back)

Roscoe's Falcons pick was a winner, but the Falcons did not cover the spread versus the Redskins by a mere 2 points. Damnit!

Blackjack's Patriots pick was a solid winner, as the Pats whipped on that Cowboys' ass! Easily covering that 8.5 point spread.

****Standings After week #5 ****

1st place Blackjack Pooch with a record of 3-2

2nd place Roscoe with a record of 2-3

Better luck next week boys!
