8th Annual Weenie Dog Football Challenge

Results from Week #8

Blackjack wins, and Roscoe dumps this week.

Blackjack's OVER pick was a nice winner as the Cards/Browns scores a total of 54 points on Sunday

Roscoe's Falcons pick was a smelly loser, as the Falcons were getting whipped for 3 quarters until they finally decided to play offense, and by then it was too late. The lose 23-20

****Standings After week #8 ****

1st place Blackjack Pooch with a record of 5-3

2nd place Roscoe with a record of 2-6

Better luck next week boys!

If you don't start being nice to my brother Roscoe, I'm going to bite your ankles.
I'm going for my 4th win in five wins and I have just the pick.

I am taking the Pittsburgh Steelers minus-4 1/2 points over the Oakland Raiders.

It's true the Silver and Black are much improved this year. And the Steelers lost their starting running back Le'veon Bell to injury last week. But Ben Roethlisberger is healthy again. And west coast teams typically struggle when they go to the east coast to play early games that kick off at 10 a.m. their acclimated time.

It's Pittsburgh covering the 4 1/2-point spread on Sunday.

Good luck, everyone!
This week I am taking the New Orleans Saints -8 over the Tennessee Titans.

Saint's offense is ROLLING big time right now, and they are scoring points like crazy. The Titans will not be able to keep up with them.

This will be an easy cover.

Good luck to those who are making these weenie wagers!

Results from Week #9

Blackjack, and Roscoe took a pair of dumps this week.

Blackjack's Steelers pick did not cover the spread against the Raiders, as he missed it by a point and a half.

Roscoe's Saints pick was a smelly loser, as the looked great last week Saints looked like complete shit versus a shitty Titans team, and they lost straight up!

****Standings After week #9 ****

1st place Blackjack Pooch with a record of 5-4

2nd place Roscoe with a record of 2-7

Better luck next week boys!

Thanks for the update, Rizzo.

It was worse than losing by 1 1/2 points. I lost by one measly yard when D'Angelo ran for a first down and was tackled on the 1-yard line. The Steelers then went for the game-winning field goal. grrrrr.
My pick of the week is the Denver Broncos minus 5.5 points over the K.C Chiefs.

Bronco's have been off and on this year, showing greatness on some games, and looking really bad on other games. When they're at home however, they seem to stand out the most. KC lost their star running back a couple of weeks back, and they have become two predictable. The Bronco's defense is tough, and will destroy the KC offense.

This spread should really be 8-10.

Good luck with anyone making these weenie wagers!

Okay great. I will take KC +5.5. Thanks Roscoe.
I apologize for not getting this pick posted yesterday. I am back east in the Baltimore/DC area and didn't get an opportunity to get on the board. One thing is for sure, being in the nation's Capitol won't sway me to pick either of these local teams. They are struggling big time.

OK, no more goofing off. It's already Saturday morning. I will take the over-49 points in the Detroit-Green Bay game. Aaron Rodgers will throw more than a tablet this week!

Thanks little buddy. I know you are on a horrible losing streak, so I just went opposite. That was an easy win.

Thanks again.
