8th Annual Weenie Dog Football Challenge

Time to make my weenie pick of the week, I am riding a 2 game win streak, and I really need to extend it, and put a dent into Blackjack's lead.

Unfortunately, for me B-J won his pick last night!

This week I am going with the Houston Texan's +2 over the indy Colts! its not 100% which quarterback is going to start this game, but even a banged up Hasselback, or the third stringer is not going to stand a chance with that Texans defense!

This should be easy money, as the Colts haven't shown much promise this year.

Should be easy money here folks.

Good luck to those who are making these weenie wagers.

Results from Week #15

One more time...A couple of happy, winning weenies this week

Blackjack's Rams -2.5 pick was an easy winner as the Rams whipped those Bucs on Thursday night!

Roscoe's Texan's +2 pick was an outright winner as the Colts QB issues were a major problem for the offense, as well as the Texan's D.

****Standings After week #15 ****

1st place Blackjack Pooch with a record of 7-8

2nd place Roscoe with a record of 6-9

Continued good luck next week boys!

Roscoe can still make the playoffs in the NFC East
Merry Christmas, everyone!

I asked Santa to stuff a winning pick in my stocking this week. He came through with the Denver Broncos at minus 3 1/2 points against the Cincinnati Bengals who will be missing Andy Dalton and their stud tight end.

Go Broncos!

Enjoy your holiday!

Merry Christmas to all of you folks in LVA land. I hope you are all enjoying yourselves surrounded
By friends and family, and keeping warm.

My weenie pick of the week is the OVER 43 points in the Lions/Niners game on Sunday

lions looked like they had all parts working last week, and the Niners new QB is boosted a little life into that worn out offense

I think they score a ton of points and get over 43 points by the third quarter.

Good luck to those making these weenie wagers.

Results from Week #16

One good weenie, and one bad weenie this week.

Roscoe's OVER 43 in the Lions/Niners game was a good winner, as they took it to 49 total, by games end

Blackjack's Broncos -3.5 pick was a 1/2 point loser, as the broncos struggled, needing overtime, to win by a mere field goal

****Standings After week #16 ****

1st place (tie) Roscoe with a record of 7-9

1st place (tie) Blackjack Pooch with a record of 7-9

Its a whole new ball game now folks!!

Continued good luck next week boys!

And here we go with Week 17. This is by far the most difficult week to predict in any NFL season.

For one, you have teams that have clinched playoff berths and are inclined to pull their starters early on Sunday. Then you have teams on the opposite end of the spectrum that can't wait to get the season over with. They may not pull a Jason "I'm not going to risk getting hurt for this" Peters, but their hearts are not into the game. The last thing they want to do is jeopardize their golf game and vacation plans that stithart Monday.

So it's imperative to pick a team with something riding on the line. In that vein, I'm taking the Houston Texans to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars by more than 6 1/2 points. It's true that Blake Bortles has been on a roll against inferior teams. But the Houston defense is stout. Let's go Houston minus 6 1/2 points against Jacksonville.

Good luck and happy new year, everyone!
Happy New Years to all you pooch lovers out there!

It's time for me to continue my winning streak, and lock up this weenie challenge once and for all. Heheheh

This week I am taking the must win Denver Broncos -9 points over the San Diego chargers. The broncos have owned the chargers, especially in Denver. Their defense is a monster, and the chargers will not stand much of a chance.

I predict it will be at least a 14 point win for Denver.

Good luck to all of those who re making these weenie wagers.

Results from Week #17

One good weenie, and one bad weenie this week.

Blackjack's Texan's pick was a nice winner, as Houston beat the cheese out of the Jags

Roscoe's Broncos - 9 pick was a loser as the Broncos did win the game, but they did not cover the 9 point spread by two measly points

****Standings After week #17 ****

1st place Blackjack Pooch with a record of 8-9

2nd place Roscoe with a record of 7-10

Now we have all the play off games, minus the SuperBowl to go, and we shall see who ends up with the weenie dog football challenge trophy this year!

Good luck next week boys!
