8th Annual Weenie Dog Football Challenge

Play off time baby! That means its time, for some solid weenie picks!

This week I am taking the Kansas City Chiefs -3 over the Houston Texans.

While Houston has a good defense, the offense really sucks, and they don't have much of a quarterback!

The Chiefs have played pretty good towards the end of this season, and all cylinders are clicking.

They will make quick work of the Texans, and push me close to that weenie dog football challenge trophy, and that delicious cookie bones!

Good luck to all of those who are making these wagers.

For the first time in Weenie Challenge history, both pooches will have action in the same game. No competing action, but all eyes will be on the Kansas City-Houston game as I take the under-40 points scored.

To Roscoe's point neither team has much of a quarterback or a prolific offense, for that matter. This will come down to ball control and more field goals than touchdowns going on the scoreboard.

A low-scoring Kansas City victory equals a win for both of. A low-scoring Houston victory equals a win for me and loss for Roscoe. A high-falutin' blowout the scoreboard win for KC means I'm goosed.

Good luck everyone!
Woof! And Woof, Woof!
Results from Week #18

Two good weenies this week.

Blackjack's UNDER 40 pick on the KC/Houston game was a solid winner, as the total ended up 30-0

Roscoe's Chiefs -3 pick was a nice winner, as the Chiefs beat up on the Texans 30-0

****Standings After week #18 ****

1st place Blackjack Pooch with a record of 9-9

2nd place Roscoe with a record of 8-10

Two more weeks of NFL games to go, before we crown the 2016 puppy champ.

It's time for a winning weenie pick.

I don't have much time to explain this pick. I'm busy staring at a cat lying on the lawn across the street. In short, I'm taking the New England Patriots minus 5 points against Kansas City. Rationale in the size of a MilkBone: Tom Brady at home in the playoffs. Enough said.
This weekend, I am going with the Carolina Panthers -3 over the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle played a really tough game, which they barely won, in some really bad weather last week, while the panthers had their feet up and were resting the whole time.

A fully rested Panthers team at home this weekend seems like the easiest pick I've had this year.

Cam Newton and the Panthers are for real this year, and are taking it all the way to the Super bowl!!

Good luck to those who are making these weenie wagers.

It's time to clinch the Weenie trophy and box of doggy cookies.

I watched the spread of 3 points in both games all week, looking to see if either one moved 1/2 point in either direction. That's a huge 1/2 point. But it never happened. So I am taking an over bet this week. I will take the over 47 1/2 points in the Wrizona-Carolina game. They may be at 28 at halftime. And don't be surprised if a defensive or special teams TD contributes to this winning bet.

Good luck to everyone betting Sunday's games!
I am running a little late this afternoon, but here is my pick of the week.

I am taking the New England Patriots -3 over the Denver Broncos!

The Patriots have their core group back, especially Julian Edelman, who is a major part of that offense. Pats are going all the way this year, and Bronco's with that weenie arm'ed Manning are not going to have enough for them.

Bronco's defense is good, but they will be tired by the 3rd quarter after all the three and outs that Peyton is going to cough up.

Pats kick ass in an easy one.

Good luck to those who are making these weenie wagers

Results from Week #20

Blackjack's OVER pick on the Panthers/Cards pick was a solid winner, as they ran up the score quite nicely, giving the black weenie the win

Roscoe's Patriots pick was a straight loser, as Denver found a way to beat the Pats in Denver.

****FINAL WEENIE DOG FOOTBALL CHALLENGE RESULTS ****

1st place Blackjack Pooch with a record of 11-9

2nd place Roscoe with a record of 9-11

Congratulations to Black-Jack Pooch for winning yet another trophy in a row!

Please have your master send me the mailing address on where to send those gourmet cookie bone treats, as soon as possible.

Thanks
