My point was that it seems condescending that Americans think we know better than the people of Norway. This is their tragedy, if they're not looking for a pound of flesh, eye for an eye type revenge, good for them. They seem to think that one fucked up right wing nut shouldn't force them to abandon their values. I find that admirable. Maybe even a few tough guys over here might learn something.

Yes, I like data very much. Here is some for you from Heather MacDonald who has done research for the LA Times on illegal immigration. The data is from her testimony on Capitol Hill. You want hundreds of individual examples of people killed in the US by illegal aliens. I've got those too. The list is far from comprehensive, but when you add in the all the illegal alien gang members and drug smugglers it's obvious to anyone with half a brain that illegal immigrants have killed thousands of US citizens. Maybe you missed the recent major meth bust in Las Vegas where 10 of the 14 smuglers were illegal aliens. I'm sure they wouldn't kill you if you interfered with their operation. Or maybe you missed the 2 illegal aliens a few years ago that killed a guy with a pipe bomb in the Luxor parking lot. Happy reading you data loving computer forensic expert!

You need to get out your dictionary and acquire an understanding of what data is. I posted 2 different lists with a few hundreds incidents where an illegal alien killed a U.S. citizen. That's data no matter how you look at it.

First of all, you're misusing the word "value." An idea, a philosophy, a judicial principle, has NO VALUE. Abandoning a prohibition against capital punishment would not be the abandonment of a VALUE, merely the abandonment of an idea.

In contrast, a human life has infinite value, because it cannot ever be replaced. No amount of wealth can repair the damage done by that complete asshole.

Secondly, that asshole DID force them to abandon their values. That's EXACTLY what he did. He took away infinite value.

There is no reason why that gutless animal should be allowed to draw another breath. To those of you who feel that killing him for his murdering ways is wrong, I ask- how would you feel and what would you think would be just punishment if he had murdered your children? Kind of puts a different twist on your views, doesn't it?

These are the values I was talking about.

It seems to me that the good people of Norway have kept their values, despite having lost infinitely valuable lives.
