Just to be clear......in Pick'em or Pick a Pair, you are dealt 2 cards. You then get to pick from two stacks of three additional cards, the first card is shown to you.....you then pick whichever card is better for original 2 cards and then you get the other 2 cards to finish your 5 card hand.....example....
You are dealt 2H, 2C......the first 3 card stack offers three cards one of which is the KD. The other 3 card stack offers three cards, one of which is the 2S.....obviously, you would select the 2S and you'd get the other two cards in the stack to go along with your choice.
Overall Pick'em is not very volatile. But in the short run it can be very volatile. 600 coins for a 4 oak gets you healthy but the royal cycle is very, very long. Recently, I played 100K of Pick'em on BDPWP.....scored ONE straight flush and no royal.
