9th Annual Weenie Dog Football Challenge

What a tough break for brother Black Jack and myself last week.

Oh well...we have a lot more games to go, and there will be plenty of winners this year!

This week I am taking the Detroit Lions minus 6 points over the Tennessee Titans.

The Titans have some talent, this year, but they are not playing as a team yet. Meanwhile the Lions don't have many big names, but they are playing as a complete unit, and are going to win a lot of games this year.

Results from Weenie Dog Challenge Week #2.

Blackjack's pick was blowout loser as the Bears -3 got whipped by the Eagles on Monday night Football! only giving B-J another loss

Roscoe's Lions was equally a loser as the Titans came back in the 4th quarter after trailing the whole game, and beat the Lions in a close 2 point game.

I am kicking myself for not getting home in time to bet the under 39 1/2 in tonight's Houston vs. New England game. I got sidetracked sniffing fire hydrants.

So I will go with my second choice -- Kansas City to beat the New York Jets by more than 3 points on Sunday. Let's go Chiefs! I need a win.

Talk about falling asleep at the switch. I totally got busy pissing on top of other dogs' piss and forgot to put my pick in for this week. If its OK with brother Blackjack, I am going to take tonight's game and pick from that one as my week #3 selection.

I am going with the Atlanta Falcons +2.5 over the New Orleans Saints tonight.

The Saints keep finding ways to lose, and the Falcons are a solidly built team. Expect Matt Ryan to go off, and Freeman/Coleman will pack a solid 1-2 punch out of the backfield.

Blackjack's KC Chiefs pick was a solid winner this week, giving B-J his first win of the year.

Roscoe's Falcons pick was also a big winner, as the Saints looked like crap out there.

Glad both of us weenies are back on track with convincing wins.

I am going to make this week's pick ridiculously early to take advantage of a spread before it moves.

I love the Houston Texans at minus-5 1/2 points at home over the Tennessee Titans before that line moves to 6 points (or more). Easy win again this week!

The jags are struggling right now, and the colts look like they are righting their ship.

Here is my weenie pick.

I'm taking an underdog for the first time this season. I like the New York Football Giants plus-7 1/2 points against the Green Bay Packers. If Eli and company don't outright win this game, they at least keep it close.

Easy money this week, and I even got my pick in on time.

I am taking the super stud Minnesota Vikings -7 over the struggling and injured Houston Texans.

So far the best move of the season, has been grabbing Sam Bradford for the starting QB job at Minnesota. This team is firing on all cylinders and the lowly Texans will not be stopping them this week.
