access to pools, looking for info

Hello, I will be in Vegas at the end of this month and will have a free day on a Thursday where I want to access one of the pools on the strip. I will be staying with a friend, so I will not be staying at a property

I am wondering what places are easier to get into without having a room key etc. ? I have stayed at MGM and Mandalay Bay so I have a old room keys to use there just not sure what keys they are using. I was thinking Bellagio, Ceasars, Wynn, V/P, or Mirage. I am not too picky any of these properties seems like they would have a nice pool area. A long time ago I remember Mirage having a pool they you could walk by going to the Dolphin exhibit so wondering if that is still the case and I would be able to just go and sit there.

Thanks for any direction you can give me.
I kinda was wondering the same but whether the chains are still allowing guest access to their other properties. seems like there is not much current info on this topic.

As far as old room keys go, most hotels except maybe Coast change their room keys.
I know some places will give you a pool pass for a fee even if you are not a guest at the hotel. I dont know if the strip properties still do that or not. They used to. I know the Rampart Casino in Summerlin did too and they have a pool that rivals most of the good ones on the strip. I'm sure you could make a few phone calls and find out.
Thanks I did do that. It's so sad...this site was once a great source of info via the boards and now it's slowly fading in the night.

So the deal with Caesar's properties is that you're considered a member of the general public even if you're staying at a Caesars property. Some of the Caesar hotels do allow guests of other Caesar properties to use their facilities. You may have to pay a fee though. For example, Flamingo will charge a fee... usually around $20 for males and females usually free.

While Caersars doesnt charge a resort fee (yet) my prediction is they will eventually and these kinds of fees including enjoying pools at sister properties is just another cash grab.

When you enter the Mandalay bay pool area you hand them your room key, they run it in a computer and it tells them your name, room number, and even how many keys have been issued to you. You will not get in to that pool with an old key. If you happen to have an mlife platinum card they will let you right in without needing a room key.
