Active things to do in LV on vacation

My wife and I like to be very active on our LV vacations. We walk 5 miles every day, in places like Red Rocks if possible. The highlight of our last trip was a kayak trip down black canyon starting at the base of the hoover dam. While a little pricey this was a great way to spend a day. This time out we're considering a bike ride and/or horse back riding. Have folks experienced, or are you aware of other fun, activities to break up the long gambling sessions?
There is a wetlands preserve off of Boulder Highway, around Tropicana that is quite different from anything you'll encounter elsewhere in the city. It has a couple of miles of meandering trails.
Just east of Red Rocks is Bonnie Springs. They have a cute little ghost town with Wild West shows, a small zoo and the highlight is a sundown horseback ride that ,I believe, features a BBQ.
A trip that combines a visit to the Old Mormon Fort and The Neon Graveyard would encompass a fair bit of walking, but not five miles. Both are on Las Vegas Blvd, about a mile or so north of Fremont St.
Be sure to check out Groupon and the like. They usually have great deals on ATV, Kayack and Sand Rail tours.
I enjoy walking labyrinths . There are several in Vegas or not far away.
There ain't much, and I don't have any suggestions beyond those above. But here's a little more information about the places you already know about.

The Red Rock Interpretive Association leads some free guided hikes, some of them challenging - meaning they involve some rock scrambling. They even offer nighttime full moon hikes.

And if Hoover Dam to Willow Beach kayaking is more pricey than you want, now that you know the way just skip the guided tour part. Sign up with an outfitter like Desert Adventures to drop you off, pick you up, and for the kayak rental. Including the $17 federal permit, it will probably run you less than a hundred per.

And the Wetlands off of Trop mentioned above is a pleasant non-challenging hike, but I wouldn't recommend it when it gets too warm, because the humidity there feels 30-40% higher.

You can also rent kayaks from the historic gas station in Nelson, but the hours are erratic. It's roughly halfway between the turnoff to Laughlin and Searchlight.

If you enjoy hiking, Mt. Charleston is the ultimate hiking spot in LV. There are easy and more challenging hikes there. We especially like the hiking options at the new visitor center-great views and several trail options. There is horseback riding at Red Rock Canyon. Also second the wetland preserve-there are two of them. One is at the eastern end of Tropicana and the other is in Henderson (google Henderson Bird Preserve.) Have you been to Death Valley? As long as you're not going in the hot weather, this is a great place for hiking and some great scenery. China Date ranch is another interesting place where you can end your hike with a date shake. Yum!
Thanks to all! There are a couple of nice ideas here I hadn't considered. I appreciate people taking a minute to share. I'll let folks know how it goes.
If you've never been to Boulder City, there is a very nice shopping district, with art shops, and the like. Its not an outlet center. Perfect for window shopping.
Here are some non-gaming activities that I have done during my Vegas trips:

Drive the Red Rock Canyon loop and take short hikes
Take a day trip and hike up at Mt Charleston
Horseback ride in Kyle canyon
Day trip to Zion National Park; hiked part of the Narrows
Day trip to Death Valley
All day ATV tour in the desert north of Las Vegas
Toured the winery in Pahrump
Toured Hoover Dam
Overnight road trip to Lake Havasu and one night stay in Laughlin
Museum tours: Mob museum and Atomic testing museum
Pin Ball Hall of Fame

You can also take in an afternoon show like Mac King; inexpensive, but very entertaining
Shark Reef(MB), Bodies & Titanic exhibits (Luxor), Secret Garden(Mirage),Art museum(Bellagio)
Effiel tower, top of the Strat, FSE, and Slotzilla.

I haven't been out to Valley of Fire state park just northeast of Vegas, but that's on my "to do " list as is taking the kayak trip down black canyon below the dam.
Lots and lots of vigorous sex.
