Adelson jilts Raiders

Sandy Adelson has announced he is pulling out of the stadium deal that would have bought the Raiders to Vegas.
This was covered in a very different way on two different news channels. I am not sure if adelson wasn't forced out and that means it was negotiated for a non casino ownership for t to be pushed through. I can't imagine the raiders would have failed talks before the vote. They would have kept the talks open. Adelson said he was left out of a key decision according to one channel.
And let's face it, adelson isn't oooular among the big wigs due to trump support. I can see that being an issue too among the NFL vote.
"A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you're fast asleep . . ."
__Cinderella, 1959

"For all sad words of tongue and pen, . . .
the saddest are these, 'It might have been'."
__John Greenleaf Whittier, 1856

Lol. And yet again, on day two of this fall out the news has reported a complete third story with the other investors pulling out. Fake news much. The "news" is a waste of time, energy, sanity and money. They just make shit up and say it.
I know next to nothing about this sort of thing, but...

Casino owner, bets are taken on football at said casino...also owns part of football team...no conflict of interest there?

Actually I don't care, but curious.

There certainly used to be such restrictions just because of the possible conflicts of interest.

DonDiego recalls when the owner of the Aladdin Casino and Hotel owned a racehorse. The Aladdin sports book could not take wagers on that race.

The speculation that Adelson wanted a piece of the team in addition to money from concessions and other [income] has been denied by Steve Sisolak, chairman of the Clark County Commission.

Adelson wasn't getting a piece of the team. No one seemed to know just what he was getting out of the deal. NFL absolutely bans anyone in the casino business in ownership roles.
I can see the potential conflict and didn't know about the casino rule. I think it should have been brought up a very long time ago to adelson. He has been the presumptive money man through these talks so to throw this out now was an ass move by the NFL. That being said, I never wanted the raiders so hope it falls and we get another team and get an NFL with great energy and owners.

As for gambling, it is bull. We have gambling. The end. It is gloval and online now. It isn't some backroom bookie. It is transparent and irrelevant. If people want to cheat, they will. It has nothing to do with location and casino owners. What adelson is going to have his team throw the game. Lol.
