The Adventures of Secretary of State Hillary

******quote***
Footage from a 2001 report by ABC News' Brian Ross about a disgruntled donor shows then-Sen. Clinton talking about how she had chosen to avoid email for fear of a paper trail.
"As much as I’ve been investigated and all of that, you know, why would I —- I don’t even want -— why would I ever want to do e-mail?" she's seen on tape telling Peter Paul on home video captured at a fundraiser.
"Can you imagine?" she said.

Ms. Clinton did come up with a solution, . . . she got her own server. Voila ! No paper trail.

Hillary Clinton was in violation of State Department rules governing the use of non-governmental email accounts during her entire tenure as secretary of state and for nearly two years after she left the job, ABC News has learned.

A senior State Department official tells ABC News that under rules in place while Clinton was secretary of state, employees could only use private email accounts for official business if they turned those emails over to be entered into government computers. .

I hate to break it to you, Hoops, but Hillary is handing over all her emails to the State Dept in line with the policy you just described. So....you're going to have to pretend to be upset about something else.

Have you found out if Hillary plays golf?

Surprisingly, White House Press Secretary, Mr. Josh Earnest, correctly identified the precise problem that can arise if a Government employee uses private e-mail for official Government business, . . . and especially if one uses one's own personal server, . . . in 2 little words:

". . . as I mentioned yesterday, if, in fact, Secretary Clinton’s team did what they say they did, and that is reviewed her email, collected all of her personal email that was related to her official government work and turned that over to the State Department so that they could properly preserve and maintain it, that would be consistent with the Federal Records Act, and that's the President’s expectation."

Ahh, . . . . "if" and "all". This reply strikes poor old DonDiego as something less than ringing endorsement of Secretary Clinton policy of releasing personal e-mails related to Government work.

There is no doubt that "Secretary Clinton's team" did, indeed, review her e-mails.
However, . . . in spite of the history of the Clintons total openness, absolute honesty, forthrightness and completeness in all their prior public actions and communications, . . . evil suspicious people with hidden agendas question if the criteria employed to decide what e-mails to turn over to the State Department were, in fact, determined to benefit the Public Interest or the Clinton Interest.
Or maybe even good honest people have suspicions, . . . like Josh Earnest and, even, his Boss.
No she isn't. She is only handling over ones that she has deemed necessary. Huge difference. How many other emails are there? She now controls the flow of information & it will take a legal battle to get emails she has decided are not relevant

Without access to her server nobody even knows if it was hacked.

But why in clear violation of rules did she do this?

No, she is said to be giving all of them to the State Dept. If your (baseless) accusation is that she is deleting emails before handing them over then the same scenario exists for every Sec of State and politician that used a personal email account for business.

So, you either have to come up with a uniform position on the issue and blast everyone equally (you wont)...or you can start sorting through Hillary's tee time records for a more legitimate gripe.

You mean Hillary was worried the birthers might chase after a made-up conspiracy and smear her name with months of bogus trials for a scandal they cant even articulate?

Yeah - she was way off on that one.
There is a hacker that hacked another man's emails and found many Benghazi related emails from Hillary that she didn't find necessary to turn over. He is a private consultant that she was using, providing intelligence and recommendations related to Benghazi. The hacker has screen printed some of these emails and passed them on to media. Since then, there has been a specific request for these emails, yet the State Department claims to not have them.

She's a crook, but she's PJ's crook so all is forgiven.

The first time President Obama received an email from Secretary Clinton, he knew she was not using a .gov email account. It was Obama's policy, and in this case he chose to let it slide. Ditto Bush with Colin Powell.

Presidents get to do that.

If you can't trust an anonymous criminal with an unverified screen capture, who can you trust?

And besides, screen captures are sooooo hard to fake:

It's not a smart practice for a Secretary of State because of Security and Transparency Concerns. If there's nothing illegal about it, then it's a petty complaint. She should just list out the reasons she thought it would work better for her operation and put the whole issue to bed.
