Age poll???

Turned 39 last month. First two trips we stayed on the strip because we went with friends. After that, it was off-strip to the locals places with the best gambling and comps. Now I only hit the strip for a show or if I have a deal somewhere.
43 here. I have always loved the older places and downtown. Give me a dirty old casino anytime over one the new ones on the strip!
63 and not afraid to say so. I don't frequent any of the casino's mentioned in the original post, but I do prefer the out-lying casinos...not as crowded as a rule and I feel like the machines are looser off the strip.

Also, we drive a van and many of the parking garages can't accommodate it. Locals and the bigger hotels off strip have outdoor lots, so that's a plus.

By the way...no matter where you are in life...old is always 20 years older than you are! I can remember when I thought the woman across the hall was old as dirt--she was 27. It's all about perspective! k

That is SO true! I also remember thinking that people in their 30s were old...then it changed to people in their 50s...and now it is people in their 70s! Although my body is starting the "over 50" falling apart thing so I know I am physically old...mentally, I am not. (And, mentally, my hubby is at age 7 or 77...there is no middle ground!)

Ladies I can think all I want, the age thingy shows its ugly face every time I look in the mirror. It's the lack of hair on my head, well that white beard may have something to do with it.
My wife and I are 72. Went the first time in 1984 to celebrate our 25th. Our first vacation with out our four children. Have been back 42 times
Hello Franco:
I am 50. Starting visiting Vegas in 2000 with my hubby for our 40th birthdays. We stopped going in 2007. To many other options on the East Coast along with the rising price of airfare..made it an easy decision. I'll get back there one day, but honestly, AC is a 3 hr drive, Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods, about an hour. So it's kind of a no brainer.

As far as your comment earlier, you hate "feeling like you have to make an appointment" pertaining to shows, then DON'T. Same thing with reservations for dinner. DON'T make them. The obvious reason for both is that you will be able to eat when you wanted and where you wanted, or have a seat for the show you'd like to see. By not planning, doesn't mean you won't eat or see the show, but it will probably be harder to do so when you decided it is the time.

Most shows I believe have standby windows... if show up near show time, go to the box office and see if they have anything available, that may work out, but again, you'd have to plan to do that...so what I'm saying is...if you don't want to "make that appointment" then you'll could be just wasting a bunch of time.
The day I turned 21, my loving father "MoneyLA" Flew me to Vegas from College in Boston to throw the dice for him.
I hear you Navymom. It's my girlfriend that wants to make the appointments ;-) I'm all for dinner appointments, not shows. I told her next time we will take in one show and one dinner. She was totally cool with it. I didn't even get to go to the Strat to get my virgin margarita. I have tasted margaritas in many hotels in Vegas and here in my hometown. The Stratasphere on the top floor lounge above the "Top of the World Resteraunt" makes the best margaritas by ever!!!!!!!!!!
