One more frivolous post to increase my total....I assert that I am the oldest LVA member with more than 1000 posts and a T-shirt [earned before the promotion ended]. At age 75 years and 2 months, perhaps the oldest active member without qualification. The original Horseshoe, the original Las Vegas club and the "pre-lodge" Silverton were my hangouts because they offered the best blackjack games, friendly dealers and low minimums. Binions and the Vegas Club now offer poor games.
My new favorites are Boyd properties, the South Point and the El Cortez. Nancy Reagan once told Larry King that there were no redeeming aspects of getting older. I, on the other hand, prefer aging to the alternative.
