Airline tickets Anthony Curtis

Does anyone remember Anthony Curtis talking about a certain place in Las Vegas that offers you a chance to win your airfare back from a "FREE SPIN" or something... And the cheap hotdogs to eat..
????
Thank you. Headed to Vegas in Feb. 11.

That was at the long-gone Vacation Village.

Thank you. Are you familiar with any thing close to that? Will be staying at the Sunset Station in feb.for a bingo thing. I love to get free stuff.
Lol, VV closed down like 8 years ago.

Don't you just love the Travel Channel ????? ....... airing shows that are YEARS old.

Meghansmamma,
Vacation Village (chance to win plane fare) is long gone.

The huge hot dogs were at the Westward Ho, which is long gone, but you can still get a similar deal at Slots-a-Fun (next to Circus Circus).

And meghansmamma can cross getting a free coffee mug at The Sands off her list also.

(DonDiego would sure like to add a few to his collection of 3-dozen or so.)
... I did that promo 10 years ago.
what a run down dumpity dump dump.

cabbed to there after I checked my luggage at airport.
won $2.00 but it landed RIGHT next to "pay my air fare"
cost me $45.00 round trip in cabs (stopped at Hard Rock for something else. probably a free deck of cards duh. wasted 2 hours of Vegas time...
When my buddy and I used to get in town, we'd always stop at VV if we rented from Alamo. If not, we'd try to get by there before the twentyfour hours was up. What a dump! We'd always stop at the bar though for a dog and a Corona for about $2. We always used to joke about anyone staying that far down the Blvd. Can you say Silverton (Boomtown), then South Point and now the M? Of course we stayed at Sam's Town a lot then, but for some reason didn't consider that far out. I always used to chuckle reading the Sunday travel section back then. Vegas was getting popular and there were usually 3-4 Vegas travel ads each week. Most would list packages with hotels starting at CC or the Imperial Palace and work up to the Mirage or Caesars. Every once in a while one of them would slip in VV or the old Klondike or cheap. I always wondered what people would do when the cab dropped them off, especially at the Klondike. Here you are at your fabulous Las Vegas holiday destination!!!!! I'm sure more than a few did just that. What a reality check.

Good Luck!

I always have a rental car so it was no big deal to drive out there. Never won the airfare, just a few dollars. They also had a LVA promo for a free hot dog (lunch after a long flight), a vp promo that paid double on flushes & above & a good coupon sheet for table games.

In the end I was always up some money.

NC is right - it was a dump!

I think the site now is an outlet mall
There are some casino's that offer a chance to "win" the amount of your paycheck at their check cashing cashier. IF you want to take your paycheck to Vegas.

Not sure if there are "fees" for cashing the payroll/government check or not. It's a promo for locals.
