Al Jazeera America is shutting down.

I think some of you have CNBC confused with MSNBC. CNBC is a network that is mainly concentrated on the markets and anything related. Reporting any news is completely secondary to it. They'll cover the headlines once or twice an hour, but not with any type of in depth stuff. Personally, I find it the most informative and complete coverage on the market and anything relevant to the market(s). They often host CEO's and high ups for top company's and some low cap CEO's, a fairly complete variety of business people, I like it.

I watch MSNBC sometimes also,COMPLETELY different programming.

According to Nielson Fox News ratings in 2014 was 1.7m and in 2015 was 1.8m. forky making stuff up

Generally when Americans use the word "average", they are referring to the mean average. Apparently Forkie's number is the median average. In 2014 (lastest info that I could find), CNN's median average viewer age is 62.8.

Yawn......I've obviously hurt Boiler's feelings. I feel sorry for you. Now, go ask your mother for a lollipop. Or even better, go back to reading your bible...uhhh I mean Mein Kampf.

MarcisLurkerPoster, more name calling and the such. Apparently you have nothing.

What is there "to have" considering the topic? Yeez, you really don't have a life do you? You felt the need to include me in a completely irrelevant topic about Al Jazeera's ratings in the US. Why the hell would I care about that anyhow? Whenever you're stuck and lost for words the only reply you can come up with is "you have nothing". It's so pathetic it's funny Mr. Goebbels. I couldn't care less if Al Jazeera broadcasts in the US or not. I never watch anyhow. But great projection though.....since you obviously have nothing.

I can't tell you what a relief this thread is. After Don Diego caused me to panic a few weeks ago by starting a thread announcing that Al Jazeera had cracked the top 100 of cable news with a rating of 0.0 it's good to know Americans haven't lost their values!
Unfortunately poor old DonDiego cannot take credit for initiating the thread which led to EllenMonster's panic. The esteemed LVA poster andrew5499 did so; DonDiego merely posted a link to a poorly formatted source listing the top 100 cable TV channels which verified andrew5499's assertion.

DonDiego pr'bly opines that more Americans have lost their values than EllenMonster does; pessimism is his nature.
And besides, as citizens become more dependent upon Government they convince themselves they deserve the largess transferred from other citizens. Perhaps the prospective immigrants from war-torn Syria will prove to be particularly productive and motivated to care for themselves and their families, and they may thus reverse the unfortunate trend in loss of values. Or perhaps not.

Wishful thinking. We've been hearing this theory about changing demographics dooming the GOP from liberals at least since 2008. Other than the Presidency how has it worked out for you in the last 8 years?
