I think the viewpoints are a rightbrain/leftbrain kind of thing. Yes, an adult should be held responsible for their own behavior and that behavior should not be considered the "FAULT" of the parent. However, a lifetime of running large business' has taught me to always seek the root cause of any scenario, it's a habit. Almost all moral behavior is learned from parents.
