I wish they would put a lever on the back of the seat so you could lock it to keep it from coming back on you.

Make it the choice of the one who the seat comes back on

Then that would really open it up for "Air-Rage"

Could you please unlock your Seat

No I don't like it when the seat in front of me reclines.

But I need to sleep and can't if I'm sitting upright.

Tough S#*t, ........................... it's STAYING locked

YOUR AN @#% - h*#%

OH YEAH, WELL $&*# @%

How ironic that the guy who does Capital 1 card commercials advertising how fast it is to get free flights gets thrown off a plane.

Three months ago I was on a flight and no one reclined until some little kid on bulkhead reclined his seat which started a whiole domino effect throughout the whole plane.

If the plane has the seat back TV monitors I need to be an arm's length away or it's blurry to me. So, I need to recline to see the TV if the person in front of me reclines their seat but it hurts my back to have a reclined seat. I'd rather keep it upright.
i have only reclined a seat once in my life, on accident when trying to find the hole for my headphones. before i could fix it, the guy behind me threw such a passive aggressive fit, kicking and punching my seat, that i left it that way just to be dick.

Why do we have to x-ray our shoes if all it takes to bring down a plane is a cell phone left on?
I like how Alec Baldwin tries to explain that the airplane had not left the gate yet and how he claims he wasn't rude. Is there any question at all that he probably acted like an a**hole? Josh Duhamel did the same thing not too long ago.

I had a woman on my last flight who was screaming back in coach. She held the plane up a half hour. Because of her we landed late, had to wait to pull into out gate, and the guy next to me missed his connecting flight.

It's to be expected of those coach flying low-lifes.
I'm not defending Alec Baldwin's spolied antics....or suggesting people should disobey the rules.

...but isn't that "turn off electronic devices" just a bunch of BS? What happens if you're laptop is on during this time? Does it cut off communication between the plane and the tower? No. Its just a bunch of BS.

Mythbusters did a show where they could not affect airplane instrumentation with electronic devices. In matter of fact they went out of their way of amping up signals far above the normal signals and nothing happened. That being said, an airline must stay in compliance with FAA laws. Alec Baldwin has no business thinking he is above the law. To throw a hissy fit and go into the airplane lavatory while the plane is either taxiing or getting ready to taxi, is inexcusable. I wish he was prosecuted to be made an example of.
Nearly every electronic device that passengers bring on board is safe for operation in flight. Unfortunately, some are not, and it is very difficult for flight attendants to figure out which is which. They already have enough to do.

So, in the interest of safety, the FAA wisely mandates that ALL devices be powered off during the critical takeoff and landing phases, and further mandates that only those devices with the safest records (ipods, laptops, phones in airplane mode) be permitted at altitude.

Back in the 1990s, NASA found that some of their navigational systems kept getting messed up by nearby laptops and cell phones. NASA determined that shutting those devices off cured the problem. And so, out of an abundance of caution, passengers are asked to power off such devices when pilot attention is focused the most, during takeoff and landing.

Given the hundreds of people that can die when planes fall from the sky, this extra caution is more than warranted, and is a trifling inconvenience that sensible passengers welcome.
