All Charges Dropped Against Baltimore Police

********quote*****
Charges have been dropped against all the officers who still faced trial in connection with the death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray last April. The prosecutors’ decision was announced at a pretrial motions hearing for Officer Garrett Miller, who faced charges of second-degree assault, misconduct in office and reckless endangerment.

Four Baltimore officers already stood trial in connection to Gray’s death. Three were acquitted by Judge Barry Williams: Officer Edward Nero, Officer Caesar Goodson Jr. and Lt. Brian Rice. Officer William Porter, who had a mistrial in December, had been set to head back to court in September. Officer Alicia White had a court date in October.

"Protests" broke out in Baltimore in April 2015 after the death of a criminal suspect in police custody. The civil unrest resulted in at least twenty police officers injured, at least 250 people arrested, 285 to 350 businesses damaged, 150 vehicle fires, 60 structure fires, 27 drugstores looted, thousands of police and Maryland National Guard troops deployed, and with a state of emergency declared in the city limits of Baltimore.

Well, . . . well, . . . well, . . .

It seems the only folks who made out in this exercise were those who got "good shit" from the 27 looted drug stores.

Well the Family of Freddie Gray got an apparently unnecessary $6.4 million settlement over the objections of the Baltimore Police Union.

Apparently Mr. Gray severed his own spinal cord. That was careless.

There are more than one possible conclusion which could be drawn from the known evidence.

The coroner ruled it a homicide. I guess the guy offed himself.

No jury agreed with the coroner's ruling.

There are other possibilities conclusions.

It's still a homicide even if justifiable.
The prosecutor claims the lead detectives refused to cooperate with her office. If true, they should face consequences for their actions. If not true, she should face them.
I didn't follow the trials. Were they jury trials or before a judge?

Funny. I've seen where coroners have ruled suicide to only be proven wrong later on, where it was a homicide. Your argument as usual is very weak.

"The trial of [Officer William] Porter ended with a hung jury and a mistrial in December, and [Circuit Judge Barry G.] Williams acquitted Officers Edward Nero and Caesar Goodson and Lt. Brian Rice after bench trials in May, June, and July, respectively."
