Am I Missing Anything?

I will be attending a dance competition/convention at the Mirage in July. I was thinking about staying at Treasure Island because the host hotels are usually pretty expensive and with tons of dancers attending classes at the same time elevators tend to get slow. I don't remember it being a long walk from TI to Mirage. Plus, they have that tram. I have absolutely no idea where the convention facilities are located at the Mirage and was wondering if staying at TI would be a mistake even if it did save me about $600. Thoughts?

Treasure Island is a short walk next door, tram or no tram. But it's entirely possible that while the Mirage is attracting 2,000 people for the dance competition, Treasure Island may be attracting 4,000 for something else. That's the nature of Vegas. But the distance isn't worth sweating.

That is very true. I was hoping that the cheaper price meant fewer reservations. I guess it probably just means crappier rooms.

Ive stayed at both many times if I were paying for the room there is no way I would pay 600 more for the mirage. Both have decent rooms and the mirage is better but nowhere near that. Im fairly picky about my room if that helps any. Enjoy

Yup, stay at TI, and the mall Is right next door, all of the girls will be walking right pass TI to get there, with their free time.
