If you show up at a peaceful protest in riot gear, it is likely the protest will turn into a riot.
At least the logic is somewhat consistent:

The guy who resisted arrest is dead not because he resisted arrest, he is dead because cops are bad,

The riot wasn't cause by those throwing rocks or molotov cocktails, the riot was caused by the policemen that were dressed to possibly survive such an attack.

I think I am starting to get it.

Ever worn riot gear?

Why don't you first ask the simple question:

Who ordered the police to deploy in full riot gear?

Second question:

What is behind the woman in the photo? (specifically 30 feet behind her)

Third question:

What was the briefing the cops received before deploying?

Using the answers to those questions then ask the following:

Were the police justified wearing riot gear to the demonstration

Here's another powerful image...From Baylor Hospital.

I agree. That is a powerful picture, but I don't get the point you are trying to make.

A the nutjobs here are convinced the photo was photoshopped, I suppose the answer is a blue screen?
As for the rest, who knows. Not sure any of it matters.

I was trying to counterbalance your image of the 'militarized police' threatening a graceful BLM woman with this image of an emotional black Dallas DART officer being comforted after losing his fellow officer to a terrorist sniper.

Since the Dallas BLM protest ended with 5 dead cops and there had been threats against B.R. Police, maybe the Baton Rouge force thought they should take some extra precautions. That was my point. In a single powerful image.

The ACLU and three other groups are suing the Baton Rouge police department for how they treated the protesters. So it looks like a judge will get the final say on whether or not they behaved appropriately.

Ah, so you were trying to do what I thought you were. I'm glad you clarified that. You think because there was one lone wolf gunman, a panty thief at that, in Dallas, Black Lives Matter protesters anywhere in the United Sates should be met with police dressed in riot gear ready to bust some heads?

Do you also think we should apply that same logic to abortion clinics since that anti-abortion activist shot up the one up in Colorado? Should we immediately surround all the abortion clinics in the United States with police in riot gear and arrest any protesters that show up because the clinics constantly get threats?
