And the Super Bpwl winner is...

I probably will not wager on the game, but if I did, it would be the underdogs, and under.

The score starts at zero. It is possible the final could be 2-0. (A safety and no other scoring) That's a long way from whatever the O/U number is.

Two professional teams staffed with highly paid personnel, the "best" during 2011 meet to compete. I question the "favorite" as actually being anything more than a way to balance the books for public opinion.

It's the championship game. Both teams will be well prepared and well coached. Far as I am concerned, there should be no favorite for any reason except equalizing the wagers.

With that being said, I hope the coin toss is "Heads". Papa John's is giving a free pizza to it's "reward members" if the coin toss is "heads".

That's my wager this year.

I will "cheer" for the team I like. And for the outstanding play I hope for and anticipate from all involved.

Giants 27 NE 20
I entered that Papa John contest, but I thought the winners would be whichever way the coin toss was heads or tails.

As far as the line goes, 83% of the time the line never comes into play. That is, either the favorite wins and covers, or the underdogs wins outright. The rest of the time the favorite wins but doesn't cover. The number "3" is the most common number that the game lands on....14% of the time.

I bet the Giants as soon as I saw the line of +3, and I bet under 53.5 and under 55. last two nights, or actually early in the am, I watched both the previous SB between these two teams, and the game from earlier this year. Both times the Patriots took the lead late in the 4th quarter, and both times Manning brought his team back to win with seconds remaining in the game. But after watching both those games again, I don't see all the love for the Giants defense. Brady kept overthrowing wide open receivers in both games or the games could have had the Patriots winning very easily. Watching the NFL Match Up early this morning, Merrill Hoge showed a play from the last SB. It was the first play of the game, and it was a fake handoff to the left side which drew most of the Giant defenders to the left, while a screen play was being set up to the right. The running back had tons of blockers in front of him to take out only two Giant defenders that were left on the right side. Problem was, Brady overthrew the RB who could have probably run for a TD or close to it.

Brady really scares me in this game....as he should scare almost anyone in any game...as well as Bill B. having a game plan to offset the Giants front 7 pass rush. But like I said earlier, the Giants better get to Brady early and often for them to win this game. If they don't, it could be a long afternoon for the Giants. I hope that's not the case. I probably think the UNDER is the best bet in the game.

There is a prop bet on how many punts there will be in the game...over/under 8.5. Since there were 10 punts in their first SB game, and the game was a low scoring affair...0 points in the first 1/2.....the odds maker is probably looking for a score that isn't going to be too much higher. While most of the public is on the over, most of the sharps are on the under.
Word has it many Vegas sportsbooks will get slammed if the Giants win. They were giving 100:1 odds for the NYG winning the Superbowl after the team lost 4 straight in November.

Woulda, shoulda, coulda.
I think the Pats scored a TD on their first drive of the game and if so Merrill Hoge's point is moot.

The Pats will crush the N.Y. Midgets, 34-17. There will be no lucky pass reception for Eli this time, and you Midget fans know you were lucky to win the last Super Bowl match up with the Pats.

I thought that Tebow was going to win this game and perhaps even by himself.
