OK smart a$$es. How about the Cleveland Browns are playing the Denver Broncos for the AFC Championship. Ernest Byner gets the handoff inside the Denver 5 yard line and it looks like he's going to score......BUT he FUMBLES the ball on the Denver 2 yard line, and the Broncos recover. This little known QB named John Elway comes back into the game......and leads the Broncos on a 98 yard drive for the winning TD. Nah! That couldn't possibly happen......could it? Pure fantasy land. So don't tell me what could or could not happen in the NFL.
Or ask Herm Edwards (NFL commentator) about the "Miracle in the Meadowlands"! Instead of the Giants QB, Joe P., taking a knee, he mis-hands off the ball to Larry Czonka, the ball is fumbled, and Herm Edwards of the Eagles picks it up and runs it in for a TD. There was no other way in the world that the Giants could have lost the game....but it happened.
