It's whining when you go on and on about it when it doesn't even affect you.

A-fricken'-MEN! and no kidding. sheesh

I just changed reservations from GN to the 4 Queens. The difference was the resort fees. GN charged $30 more for double room and the total for midweek was $314. 4Q was about $120. The pool is the only thing I will miss.

Apparently my "whining" just saved Brad19 $194.00 - Put THAT in your pipe and smoke it!
bradr19... the pool is not the only thing u will miss. just wait till u see the rooms at 4Q. LOL just kidding really, 4Q is fine for basic lodging. nothing fancy. I hope that $194 will be parlayed into a big win for you!

Increased airfare with bag fees, car rental prices, taxi fares and "long hauling", overpriced dining and drinking, 6'5 bastarized blackjack, higher game minimun's, lowering video poker pay schedules, later check-ins, earlier check-out times. The list goes on and on. What used to be enjoyable has turned into a gouge fest. And still the public continues to pay more and more and get less and less. Corporate greed at it's best. Those making excuses for this behavior obviously are the exact dupes that these corporations target and depend on. I, for one, am enjoying the casinos not in Vegas more and more.

drmilled ,I have to congratulate you on this post because it SAYS IT ALL!
I would like to use the term"bait and switch" as far as the resort fees, that stuff that you may not use, but are charged for.
The first timers get the biggest hit.Resort fee.
Lucky for the "Comp" rooms, that they offer, they better not charge me for those( shit-ass)* fees or there will be a class action suit
OK,maybe a complaint.Maybe a boycott.Maybe a WARNING to all that think that they want to book a room with hidden fees, a $14 daquiri,$41 cab ride to the air port,$15 per day refer or a mini-bar that you should NOT touch.
There I go again.*
Thank you for that post!
When somebody says it free and it sounds too good to be true. It is free plus resort fees......Almost like BOGOF and second is 50% off. We are all creatures of habit and will fall inline. we will either pay or don't stay....Someone needs to just come out and advertise the total price rather than the cost of room, plus tax, plus resort fees, plus tax on fees. It all comes down to drmilled posted RIP------------OFF!!!!!
nobody wants gimmicks and trickery, just be up front with the total price. that should not be too much to ask. an experienced vegas visitor knows to look for the resort fees, but it just seems like a silly extra step. stop the shenanigans already!! I'd rather give my business to a hotel that is offering a fair price up front with no surprises. and yes, it is really annoying when you book a room that is "comped" but you are not always sure that you won't still be charged a resort fee. you can ask the hotel staff and get conflicting answers. another reason to just stop it. enough is enough! (like this rant)
I fully support folks voting with their wallets. The whining, not so much.
