Another Southwest question!

I signed up for the Southwest credit card 6 months ago and they were offering 50,000 miles for the sign-up.(Basically a free trip for 2) A family member wants to sign up now and found it is only 25,000 miles being offered. Does anyone know whether Southwest switches back and forth for the amount of miles and should he wait to see if they offer 50,000 miles again.
Does your family member belong to Southwest Rapid Rewards? If so, I would suggest that he wait. I receive solicitations from Southwest several times a year to sign up for their credit card, and 50,000 miles is usually what they offer.
My company supplies the SW kiosks with their marketing material here in San Jose California. They absolutely change their promotions. Wait it out. I was under the impression, prior to getting the CC, that the 50k miles just meant that I had 2 tickets. I've gone back and forth from SJC to LAS 10 times for free on that + what I had earned already! It's a great deal.
Good question, I've been wondering this myself. My wife signed up during one of their 50,000 ,ile promos and I regretted signing up and waiting for it to come up again so I can sign up. We've flown a few times and have enough for another trip somewhere.

On a side note, I can say that, as an actual airline, we are really impressed with SW and their hub at BWI(balt Md). We usually fly out of Dulles(SW has very few flights from there) because it's closest and we thought set up at BWI was such a piece of cake. Parking was a breeze and a quick shuttle dropped us off literally a few steps away from SW's gates. Everybody we have dealt with have all been nice and helpful. I think it would be possible for someone to park and be sitting in their seat in 15 or 20 minutes.

I think we might even make BWI our preferred gateway, it's worth the extra driving time.

Coincidentally, I received a SW offer in yesterday's mail. The bonus was 50,000 points once you charge $2,000 (there may be a time limit to do that, can't remember right now).

My husband and I get these offers on a regular basis as members of the Rapid Rewards program.
A few years back I had signed up for a S/W card and got a free flight.
After making a few purchases and taking the flight (to Vegas of course), I cancelled the card.

A couple of years ago I signed up again and got 2 free flights (both to Vegas of course),
....... and also received a free "Chicago" T-Shirt (as I was in that airport at the time),
and also talked the boothling into one for my wife, Rock'n Rita.
I did use this card, but very rarely.

Just yesterday, after having this latest card for 2 years, I cancelled it.
It was time to re-up and also pay the $69 fee.

I'm sure that in a few months that I will be able to sign up again for the $69,
and get at least one free flight once again.

........ and not because of all of this, but I really do flying S/W Airlines.
