Another Tribute To Las Vegas

Some readers, going about their daily chores - like buying postage stamps, might've come across the Lady Liberty stamp recently released by the United States Post Office:



And, perhaps, those readers thought the stamp portrayed the famous statue "Liberty Lighting the World", standing in New York Harbor.

Wrong!

Astute readers of Linn's Stamp News noticed that the image on the stamp is, in fact, the Statue of Liberty replica standing in front of the New York, New York Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

In fact, the U.S. Postal Service thought they were making a stamp portraying the "real" Statue of Liberty", too! ooops. lol.
