Any Cincinnati Reds fans out there

The Reds just called up 23 year old Brownsburg Indiana kid, Tucker Barnhart. My boy grew up playing ball with Tucker, so I know him a bit. He's been a great kid since the days I first watched him play a dozen years ago.

Tucker joins Lance Lynn (Cardinals), Drew Storen (Nationals), Gordon Hayward (Utah Jazz), and Chris Jones (New Enland Patriots) in the pro sports ranks from our little town.

Tucker should eventually be a fixture in the majors, but this will likely be only a "cup of tea".

I'll take a bobblehead when they make one of him. I collect them.

Edited to add, I do have some of Lance Lynn. We drove down to the Double A farm team in Springfield MO. last year when it was a SGA.
I typically watch out for the kids coming down the pipe from the Dragons. Bty, the sell out streak continues....

This was a "cup of tea" experience for him. Hopefully he sticks longer next time he is promoted. Good luck to him. It's fun to root for local kids to do well.
The first Mrs. Blade was from Cinti. So have a special Red spot in my heart. She dated Johnny Bench once as part of an agreement for him appearing at a Cinti orphanage.

Was a fan of the Big Red Machine growing up.

Our TV station was part of the Reds TV Network, got to air the game when Pete Rose broke the hit record. Channel 14, Rose # 14 so we had some fun cross promotions.

Sat with Pete at Caesars to have him autograph some items for the wife's family back-home.

Guess I am a fan.

We are fans. Planning on going to a game in Cleveland and in Cincinnati this year.
Recently Pete Rose was in the Philadelphia area preaching about second chances.

Pete is only spouting to get into the HOF before he dies. Pete will get there AFTER he is dead and not before.
Yep, you would have watched Tucker with thte Dragons in 2011 I believe. Then it was off to Bakersfield (about 1/8th of the attendance of the Dragons), and then to Pensacola. Tucker was optioned to the AAA Louisville early this week, but the "cup of tea" did cause his Triple A salary to jump from $22,000 to $105,000. I guess it part of the collective bargaining agreement.

I drove to Cincinnati to watch Tuckers first Reds start, and he faced his friend and fellow Brownsburg boy Lance Lynn. Rain forced a 4.5 hour rain delay, so I never got to sea any ball.
