I'll just add anther quick thing RE;the side bets. As stated they are pretty much sucker bets,BUT,you'll wanna shoot yourself if you don't have them up sometimes (but also keep in mind to kiss that $ bye bye).
Prime example is one time playing LIR the 3 card bet was new as it used to be only the dollar bet and i wasn't about to play more bucks on another sucker bet well sure enough i hit 789 clubs missing out on a 35-1 payout, DAMN! OK,i started playing it and not to long after that,i hit the mini royal (QKA clubs) for a killer 50-1 payout, YAHOO!!!,pay the man plz. Bummer thing is tho is that i had reduced my bet down to 5 bucks. I didn't mind so much as i had 2 good bets still up (dont remember,prob 10 ) and a flush hit for me,YAHOO!! again. Dealer counting out all kinds of checks for me. I've also hit a few 4OAK's and many many full houses but oddly never a straight tho.
My most exciting time ever playing was a night when the table was having a great time,drinks flowing and everyone winning,well mostly anyway. I was on a tear and couldn't seem to lose. My 3 cards were 3 to a royal and the dealers first flop was a needed card for me,i told the dealer to wait a min before showing her card. I asked anyone if they had the K spades,no one had it(table full so most cards were out). I thought for sure i would hit the dealer card and everyone else did as well. Everyone was pulling for me the dealer included and i think the pit boss was kinda pulling as well as it had attracted a LOT of attention from everyone close to the table. The dealer then flopped 3D WonWonWAAA. I coulda swore i had it,but not to be this time. I came one card to a royal again,but never as exciting as that night. BTW,if i'd had hit either time,woulda maxed out the payout limit,25K. Nice hits,huh? One of these times,one of these times..
