Any Posters Interested in a Fantasy Football League ?

I've really enjoyed this competition. It's made me more aware of the other teams/players in the league besides my Giants. It also makes watching the games a little more exciting.

Considering the standing of the Giants, it couldn't have come at a better time.
teechur and DonDiego and our daughter and her significant other intend to be at the Eagles-Giants contest in New Jersey next weekend.

I'm thinking the NFC East champion could be 6-10 this year, even though a Giant believes his team could go 12-0 the rest of the year.

DD,

Do you monitor the LVA or the LVA fantasy league on your phone? I'd like to trash talk with you during the game as it also makes the game more enjoyable, win or loose.

I did this with a buddy who's a KC fan this past weekend.
There's a Smackboard at the bottom of the page of your individual match up scoreboard. It's pretty much instant messaging. I've used it for each match up this season to leave messages for my opponent, but if the other team owner isn't logged in, then it's like playing one man tennis.

As far as hooking up with a phone, I wouldn't know. I use a "stupid" phone, but may upgrade to a smart phone like everyone else at some future date.

I agree, I'm enjoying this league and keep a closer eye on all the NFL players. The league has a bunch of knowledgeable owners, and I've got to keep up. See ya again on Sunday.

Yep, the NFC East is certainly underperforming pre-season expectations. The Eagles and Giants are only 1-game behind the leader, . . . and the Redskins look like they've got a healthy RGIII back. It's anybody's Division.

DonDiego does not monitor the games on his phone.

DonDiego also possesses no more than the simplest flip-phone from several years back, . . . and he yearns for the days of having nothing but a land-line. All these fancy-schmantzy electronic devices are just too much for poor old DonDiego. And from what he sees he supposes they're contributing to a future of kids growing up looking like they've got scoliosis; but it's just a hunch.

teechur makes DonDiego take his cell-phone with him when he leaves the house, just in case he wanders off.

Anyway, DonDiego will be in MetLife Stadium this upcoming weekend, . . . but when he's home on a Sunday, he might just give the Smackboard a look.

DD,

I resisted getting a cell phone to the last. Then I went into a bar to meet a friend and he wasn't there so I went to where the payphones were and they were gone. Apparently, with cell phones they didn't make enough money to cover the collection of the money costs.

I stuck with a dumb phone for a long time. About a year ago I capitulated and got a "smart phone". The fact that the screen on my flip phone was unreadable due to moisture infiltration had a lot to do with the decision.

I do find it handy for navigation, but with the fog in your picture the GPS probably wouldn't get a signal from the satellite. I've also used it to find a store, restaurant or other close to where I'm at.

I'm seriously thinking about dropping the "data" portion of my cell phone usage because of the cost, but I do believe I would miss it.

And I do believe it is teechur that's the Eagle's fan, correct? Well tell her they're going down this weekend and loosing to the worst team in football (at the moment) will make the Eagles the new worst team in the league!
Teetime213, after reading your comment about maybe doing battle again, It reminded me of Rocky: "Ain't gonna be no rematch," "Don't want one." So here's my take on last week's match.

Rocky !! Rocky is one of my favorite movies. It’s a simple love story about two have nots with plenty of boxing stuff thrown in to keep the guys interested. Apollo Creed gives the unknown Italian Stallion a chance at the heavyweight crown. No one had ever gone the distance with the champ, but after 15 rounds of a gutsy, rock-em sock-em slugfest, Rocky was still standing in the corner of the ring.
Beat up, sweaty, bloody, with a broken nose, his face puffed up and eyes a mere slit, Rocky hollered at the arena for his girl…”ADRIAN !!! ADRIAN !!!.” The plain Jane girl pushed her way towards the ring calling back “ Rocky !! Rocky!!” She finally made it into the ring with the help of her brother Paulie. They embraced and Rocky says “Where’s your hat?” Adrian says “I love you.” Rocky replies. “No, I love you.”
Well Rocky lost the fight, but he got his girl. Rocky wins.

I was in a bit of a slug-fest with Ceasaers Pale A$$’s last week. I was the underdog going in, but was ready for the battle. The game went back and forth throughout the day, leaving us tied at 91 to 91 with both of having 3 players each for Sunday / Monday night. Then the Pale A$$’s sent in a couple of old men to beat me up.
I was hoping to bob & weave against Brady (36 years old) and Gonzalez (37 years old) for minimal damage, and to look for my man Jimmy Graham to give another great game.
Then BAM !!! The old man receiver Nate Washington came up with the best game of his career. 22 points !! It was a left hook I didn't see coming. I was down for the count. 121 points is pretty good, but 153 points is better.

Well okay, it’s just one loss, the first scratch on a new car. Time to look over the roster and get ready for next week. Wait a minute, guess who’s got a bye? My first round, numero uno RB, Mr. Peterson. I stood alone by my lap top and hollered at the world , “ADRIAN !! ADRIAN !!”
Unlike Rocky, I not only lost the fight, I also lost Adrian.

Enjoy the gamespeople. I have a lot of fun with this. Jack,
