I'm still "shopping" for a "small" tablet. Leaning toward the 7"-8" sizes, want to be able to carry it in my cargo pockets, not require a "case" to bring it along.
My "requirements": ebook reader, email, full web w/ flash, etc, internet TV (espn, hulu, crackle, etc), wifi of course, and must be able to run the Gmail telephone. (I make the majority of my outgoing calls through my computer and Gmail. (Free, saves me tons of minutes on my frugal cell phone plan.) Would also want input for headset/mic, memory slot, camera, and "free" apps. Would prefer Linux. Will not buy one that is "carrier specific". I will only use it in wifi mode.
Brand names probably will not fit my budget. Eventually I'll find a true "no name" bargain online that will do everything I want, probably mid- 2012 or later.
This will be the year tablet computers begin to come into their own. Netbooks are passe. Laptops may not be far behind, a few more years. Maybe.
