Anyone going to get the ipad3?

They were talking today about many pre orders being sold out and for people not to wait in line.
I just bought my first ipad (ipad2) because the price dropped right before the new one was unveiled. I have to admit it is pretty darn cool, but still overpriced.

How is it overpriced when they are selling like hotcakes?

Hotcakes are overpriced.

Pj, you'll have more than enough room for your movies. You'll have access to the "cloud" which will give you extra storage space so you can move things off your iPad if you need more room for something else. I don't think you'll even need to use that. I have about 50 hrs of music and 6 movies on mine right ow and have a ton more memory left.

Because people are buying into the hype. After a couple of months when they notice they are hardly using it anymore they'll realize it's overpriced. It's even a hassle to carry with you compared to the Kindle Fire. I sold my Ipad because of that and switched to the Fire. The Fire fits easily in my coat pocket. I use the Fire enough to justify it's $200 price tag. Plus you get lots of free movies, tv shows, etc. when you subscribe to Amazon Prime. And it makes no sense to use a tablet in lieu of a notebook if you need to get any type of work done. Tablet typing sucks. I won't even use a smartphone without a qwerty keybord.

It's my first ipad but I don't plan to carry it anywhere except around the house. I'm sure we'll use it everyday.
My girlfriend got me this case and wireless keyboard for my birthday. You can also remove the keyboard with ease if you don't want to carry it with the ipad.

That is the BIG drawback. But we love our iPad2. Like the computers, it does so many things light years beyond the competition, and then there's this huge head-scratcher hole.

Toy or tool? I think that is the question people need to ask with any technology. Love the fun side but it's a tool foremost, and if it wasn't we'd not have one.

With Apple products I'm cool letting a number of product cycles go by before upgrading. Obviously some line up at the Apple Store to get each and every new iteration. Hell, I'm still on a second-gen iPhone3. I love to have me some Siri but I've decided to wait for the 5.
Since Im not tech savy how des the IPAD work? Do you have to bill it to your cell phone with wi fi use?

For those that do not have unlimited use, is it still worth it? I was stil looking at a Nook and Fire myself.
