Anyone's comments on the Preakness?

So who's your favorite's and why.

It's a TRIPLE CROWN year, I had Animal Kingdom in the derby win only, no place no show. He won in a hand-ride very convincingly. He shot through the hole he needed to with no hesitation when asked. It was pretty tight in there.

As soon as he went through that hole and angled to center track I told the girlfriend it's over, I'll be at the cashier window. He will love the track this weekend and if he comes out healthy he will handle the Belmont distance without any problem I'm thinking. As always with the Belmont though, there will be a lightly raced horse out of a good barn looking for the upset.

Haven't seen the line up yet.

I always go by the name, odds are secondary.

DonDiego never bets the favorite to win.

In the Preakness he'd look to put Dance City and/or longshot, home-town favorite Concealed Identity into some exotic wagers, maybe coupled with Mucho Macho Man, or Animal Kingdom. (n.b. It's likely that Animal Kingdom will be over-bet to very low odds, and possible that Concealed identity will be bet down to mid-field odds by race-time. These factors would affect DonDiego's betting, if he were betting which he probably isn't, . . . although now that he thinks about it, there is an off-track betting parlor not very far away . . . )

And DonDiego doesn't see a Triple Crown this year. For the Belmont, barring any unforeseen development over the next two weeks, he'd put his money on his Kentucky Derby selection Nehro .

After that listing DD, I'll take Mucho macho man.

thezzzone bet Animal Kingdom and got 20/1,,thezzzone was ecstatic to get those odds as thezzone was convinced that Animal Kingdom was and is the best 3yr old. Animal Kingdom will undoubtedly be the favourite for the Preakness, but thezzzone believes that Animal Kingdom is the best horse by far, so even at 2 or 3 or can he be so lucky 4 /1 , thezzzone considers this value. thezzzone would rather cash a ticket than to bet one solely to avoid betting a favourite for value . thezzzone bets what he thinks is the best horse...the derby win was monsterous in thezzzone's opinion,,but thezzzone has been wrong many times before. you can have the best horse but not get the ride you need or the horse isn't feeling like running that day, doesnt change that he is absolutely the best horse. Its not that difficult to say that 1 out of 13 horses won't win, I'm saying the 1 out of 13 will. thezzzone will not hedge and goes on record with the triple crown prediction.

I also pocketed some very nice coin courtesy of a win ticket on Animal Kingdom, but I don't believe this is a potential Triple Crown year either. At this point I find myself looking at either Flashpoint or Shackleford for the Preakness win. (And perhaps a couple bucks on Mucho Macho Man, in honor of the late Randy Savage).

The ZZZZimbo is going for Dialed In* this time. Had no shot in the derby due to the amazingly slow pace.

*Disclaimer- Zimbo loves betting the TC and Breeder's Cup races, but sucks as a handicapper
