Are the Riviera's days numbered?

the "$40 for $20" promotion they would run. I figured if I'm going to spend $20 on junk to bring stuff back from the trip, why not? Never won any money but did get a couple of the jackets and some Super Bowl promo items one year that were really nice.
I've stayed there 6 or 7 times - 4 for conventions and the rest because I like the place. I always got rooms in the Monte Carlo or Monaco towers. The only complaint I've ever had about the rooms is, the shower heads in the bathtubs are about chin level on me.
Are you tall, or do you have a very long chin?

Please, they used those "special" machines where wining was like a 1 in 100,000.

Just read on news las vegas convention center bout the Riv.
never one of my favorites of the old school joints. I liked stardust, westward ho, and slots o fun (back then). but nonetheless I hate to see it go.
I'm 6' 1", and my chin is normal. The shower heads are on the end of a downward curved pipe. If you aren't short, you literally have to aim the shower head upward to spray your face or wash your hair without bending over or squatting. I suspect the tubs have been over-laid multiple times without moving the shower pipes upward.

Stardust was probably my favorite of the old joints (tower room). I had some good rooms at the Frontier also. They used to have a 3.99 steak and eggs at their coffee shop that was really good. The only problem was the line to get in.

I'm 6'5 1/4" and I know exactly what you are talking about. I like walk in showers and not the combination tub/shower. Sometimes they will have a shower head pipe that curves up to the ceiling and goes up like half a foot and then curves downward.
