Are the Riviera's days numbered?

The Riviera grand opening on April 20, 1955. Liberace looked like he could have stepped into a Batman movie as the Joker.
We chose a black carry-on bag, complete with the roller extensions one year. Actually good quality as I've been using it regularly for many years now and it still looks good. With the logo, maybe it's a collector's item now!
I got to thinking about the demise of the Riv; hadn't given that casino much play over the years especially since the Sahara went under. I kick myself for not playing more at the Stardust, another classic casino that is history. What the hell, I booked a Riviera suite for two nights the end of April, even though I'm only two weeks away from my March trip. The show, Crazy Girls, has been on my Vegas bucket list for quite some time.....should be able to check it off in April. Thought I would give the "old girl" one last fling before she fades into Vegas history/lore.

5'11" and 160 lbs. on the dot.... in case you're interested. Just sayin'

We booked a suite for the final night at the Riviera. We want to be a part of their last night. I never thought I would pay for a room at the Riviera but I do not mind paying to be part of history.
Good call. Have fun.

My buddy just got back from the Riviera last week. The front desk clerk told her: "Oh,you can keep your room key as a souvenir".
