Are you going to watch the Olympics?

Is the sun going to rise in the East?
I will a few sports. Swimming, basketball and some track and field. A few sports I would not watch unless it was the Olympics. (Soccer and water polo)
Which is more corrupt...........
.the International Olympic Committee, or soccer's FIFA?
I like watching the gymnastic competition. How those girls do what they do on that 6" beam is beyond incredible. The uneven bars are pretty cool too. I can't think of any other events that interest me.

I'll bet you'd be even more impressed to find out that the balance beam is actually 4 inches wide.

I tried to watch opening ceremonies last night but it seemed like for every one minute of programming, we were subject to five of advertising. I did set the DVR so I could watch the Women's gymnastics coverage but will wait until it is fully recorded so I can fast forward through all the commercials. We used to watch the Canadian coverage until they started blacking it out.
I watched a bit. Last nights opening ceremony was painfully boring. What was the point of Gisele walking the catwalk?

Watched some gymnastics tonight and some swimming. It gets real bad whenever Bob Costas appears.

.

Samsung & NBC are streaming the opening ceremony to Gear VR headsets today. So then you can re-watch the painfully boring ceremony in 360 Degree Virtually Reality.

I always try my best to avoid the opening and closing bits, way too much crap. However being in the western hemisphere, I can actually watch more.

One might well ask; "Why did the Brazilian chicken cross the pond?"

Mr. Brady's wife is Brazilian.
Apparently the Olympics is to be her final professional modeling appearance.

From wikipedia :
"[Gisele] Bündchen is a sixth-generation Brazilian of German descent, born in Três de Maio, Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil, to Vânia Nonnenmacher, a bank clerk pensioner, and Valdir Bündchen, a university teacher and writer, who are both of German descent. Bündchen was raised in Horizontina, a southern region in Brazil where there is a large population of German ancestry. She grew up with her five sisters—Raquel, Graziela, Gabriela, Rafaela, and her fraternal twin Patrícia, her junior by five minutes. She speaks Portuguese as her native language, in addition to Spanish, English and Italian. She studied German in school.

In 1993, Bündchen joined a modeling course with her sisters Patrícia and Gabriela at their mother's insistence. The following year, Bündchen was discovered by the Elite modeling agency at a shopping mall in São Paulo while on a school excursion. She was subsequently selected for a national contest, Elite Look of the Year, in which she placed second. Bündchen placed fourth in the Elite Model Look world contest, held in Ibiza, Spain. At the age of 14, she moved to São Paulo to launch her modeling career. In 1996, Bündchen had her first New York City break at Fashion Week."
