Arrests made in LA Dodgers beating case

ESPN just announced that the LAPD SWAT team just took into custody one of the suspects of the severe beating of baseball fan on opening day. There was a real hefty reward on the head of these two scoundrels. I wonder if his defense will be, Deminished Capacity, due to his being drunk?

That is great news. Hopefully the other one will be caught.

The LAPD has made at least one arrest in the Dodgers opening day beating of Giants fan and paramedic Bryan Stow, a department source confirmed to KFI NEWS Sunday.

Stow's family was informed, the source said.

A man and a woman were being questioned at the LAPD's Northeast Station, though it was unclear if those included the one man under arrest.

The L.A. Times reported the arrest was made during a morning SWAT raid on an apartment building in East Hollywood.

The Times reported others in the building said the man arrested was bald and had tattoos on his neck -- resembling one of the two men shown in a police sketch.

Last week, LAPD Chief Charlie Beck held a news conference to again call for the publics' help in solving the case, and revealed the woman suspected of driving the getaway car was wearing a Dodgers jersey with Andre Ethier's number.

"This is new information, this has not been made public before," Beck told reporters.

More than a dozen detectives have been working the case non-stop since the assault March 31, when Stow was attacked from behind as he and two friends walked through a stadium parking lot.

About two weeks after the incident detectives caught what they hoped was the first big break in the case -- when someone working at a dry cleaner in Boyle Heights reported someone had dropped-off a bloody Dodgers jersey for cleaning.

LAPD sources told KFI NEWS the jersey was immediately tested for the presence of DNA evidence.

It's not clear if that effort played a role in this morning's arrest.

Developing.

It sure would be wonderful if once they arrest the other one they could either let some Giants fans beat the hell out of them or let the injured mans family beat the hell out of them and see how it feels.

In this case an eye for a eye would be equal justice!

An animal such as this subhuman lowlife does not deserve to exist. Execute it on sight- go straight to Hell.

i can't understand!! the guys on PAROLE. wow, maybe the new parole program isn't working here in CA. MAYBE we should let some more CDC guests out. i know the parole had a rough life and need some understanding and has special needs................... yeah right i'm a over paid prison guard!!!
Its good to know we live in a civil society where people respect law and order.
Funny how the same people who want to go back to a strict constitutional government seem to feel it shouldn't apply in criminal cases.
Bald headed, tatooed gang member suspect has 3 prior felonies....what a shock.
His parole officer noticed a similarity to the crime sketch and referred his concens to the lead detective.
According to the SC 46,000 more california inmates will soon be coming to your towns in california
I have been a season ticket holder for two NFL teams. The Buffalo Bills and the Detroit Lions. In the case of the Bills I was only a season ticket holder for 1 yr and went to every game. There was not one time that I went to a game where I did not see a fist fight either in the stands or in the parking lots. Conversely, with the Lions, in the one year being a ticket holder, I did not see even 1 fight the whole season. Go figure.

It's pretty bad when you won't take your teenage son to a game because you fear for his safety because you know he's gonna be cheering for the visiting team in Buffalo. Crazy world we live in sometimes.
I have been following this story. The man they beat was a Paramedic, just going to the game with friends.
He is still in a a coma medically induced, till now showing little sign of improvement. He was 44 I believe, with severe brain damage. He worked for AMR.
