Atomic museum...Anyone been?

Thinking of checking this out next week.

Tell me what you thought about it?
Have a Blast!!
LOL...JM

How the heck are you?
If you have an interest in Science or History, The Atomic Testing Museum is fascinating, and well worth the visit. There is a LOT of content there. We were pressed for time and only spent an hour, but could have stayed longer.

On a related note, the Nevada Test Site (apparently now known as the Nevada National Security Site) offers free monthly tours. They are booked about a year in advance, but this is one of the things I've always wanted to do...I'm signing up for December. They bus you out to the site (that is larger than the state of Rhode Island) and you spend the day checking out all of the historical spots... The tour departs at 7:30 a.m. and returns at 4:00 p.m....so this is a major all-day affair.

Well worth a visit - it's a really interesting place! Plus, there was this announcement recently on the LVA homepage of a new exhibit that's just been added:
Posted March 25, 2012 - Area 51 Exhibit: "Area 51: Myth or Reality" opens tomorrow at the National Atomic Testing Museum (755 E. Flamingo). The experience/exhibit is based on the secretive testing site located about 85 miles north of Las Vegas and presents facts that formerly could not be revealed, but have been declassified by the CIA and the Department of Defense. Admission is $14 for adults and $11 for locals, seniors, military, and kids age 7-17.
Worth it. Lots of reading. Good pictures and articles to see. Very scientific. I totally enjoyed it.
