Avis: Coupon accepted out of valid dates by the online reservation system.. Honored?

It might be a long shot to find an answer here, but I will ask.

The Avis online reservation system accepted a coupon outside the valid dates stated in the offer. On my reservation it says "Coupon Accepted."

When I pick up the rental, will the coupon be honored?

The coupon is deducted at time of rental.

I vote yes.

I would have a back up reservation just in case. I only rented from Avis once and can't help you as my coupon was valid at time of use.
