Back to Harrahs, Rincon

Hi there,

My wife and I are going to be at Rincon next week and I had no idea they had full pay VP now!?! We normally go there about once every other month, but haven't been since September. Where are the full pay machines and what denom do you have to play? Thanks for the help!
Hey Jon, I love to read about winning and especially hitting a royal......... Wow Wee...........what a thrill.

I was looking over a offer booklet from Harrah's Reno, REWARD MULTIPLIER CREDITS* ................................... *Play Excludes All Video Poker Games.

I wonder why it's different in Reno. I know they're hurting for business and anything to draw players I would think they would jump at.

I logged on to their website and was pleasantly surprised to find their calendar for the month. This must be new because I have never seen it before. It lists all their promotions and special events. I am considering going down to the last Wed. of the month slot tournament.
Congrats on the great win! When played perfectly, VP is a great game for the players on full-pay machines... house edge is minimal or can be even non-existent depending on progressive meters etc. Sounds like you have a great grasp of the rules and know just what to hold. :-)

Where is Rincon casino based? Is that in Nevada? Near or in Vegas? (sorry, only being a tourist to Vegas, and non-US based, my geography is not perfect).

Rincon in San Diego county. Owned by Indians. Run by Caesars (Harrahs) under a marketing agreement.
Full Pay machines at Rincon are located across from the Sports Bar. against the wall. It's an ALL video poker section. The full pays are only against the back wall.

It's my understanding that each Harrah's pay schedules are determined by the casino's gaming manager of that particular property. As one member mentioned, Pala, another Indian casino about 20 minutes from Rincon put in some full pays, so it forced Rincon to be competitive.

Let's hope it stays that way.
I havent been in Pala in years and if Pala did it first it makes sense since Pala is the closest to the 15 freeway and the "first stop." except for loyal Rincon players (total rewards members) you would have to give them an incentive to drive the extra 20 minutes up the winding hill to Rincon.

The 600 pound gorilla of So Cal gambling is still Pechanga, which by the way is the second biggest casino in the country -- only Foxwoods is bigger. Pechanga is bigger than anything in Vegas, by the way. Pechanga is not a full pay VP casino either. If Pechanga switches, they will crush everyone else as they are closest to the 15, right in Temecula, an easy drive, and has the best brand in So Cal.

Morongo also lacks full pay on most games (but I think it does have 9/6 jacks) and is not a giant casino but like Avis is trying harder. Morongo probably has the #2 brand in So Cal.
Is Morongo located in Palm Springs?
A whole day ofr bliss AND you walked out with money. Wonderful!
Congratulations on your first royal. Hopefully you will get many, many more this coming years.
