Bad Moon Rising

I see the bad moon arising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see earthquakes and lightning.
I see bad times today.

Don’t go around tonight,
Well, it’s bound to take your life,
There’s a bad moon on the rise.

I hear hurricanes ablowing.
I know the end is coming soon.
I fear rivers over flowing.
I hear the voice of rage and ruin.

Hope you got your things together.
Hope you are quite prepared to die.
Looks like we’re in for nasty weather.
One eye is taken for an eye.

__Credence Clearwater Revival – "Bad Moon Rising"

DD, you've got the seventh line of lyrics wrong.

It should be There's a bathroom on the right.

Always dangerous to quote lyrics from a live performance, a la "the boys in the bar ordered boat drinks."

Someone ought to start a thread about lyrics the performer routinely alters in live shows.

I was just joking, not about live lyrics but about frequently misheard lyrics.

Correct: There's a bad moon on the rise
Misheard: There's a bathroom on the right

Another example, from Purple Haze, by Jimi Hendrix:

Correct: 'Scuse me while I kiss the sky
Misheard: 'Scuse me while I kiss this guy

Anyway, we now return you to DonDiego's dark, apocalyptic thread (sorry, DD ).

Don Diego is truly a harbinger of sorrows. I guess we will all be on "The Road" soon, trying to get to the coast while hiding from cannibals. Sheesh.

"Doomsday" Don Diego.
DD, I'll give you the number of a friend:

Dead Animal

We can all sing along...On the 19th, the moon will be closer to Earth than it's been in 18yrs...
Fogerty sings, "There's a bathroom on the right" as a joke sometimes in performances.
