Bally's Room Comp Question

I just got back from Vegas, always been a MGM Players Card (now MLife) member and I usually get comped everytime with them. This time I only had three of my 5 nights comped with them. I am going back in September. I played even less this time so I am sure it be 2 nights or less Comped this time. I did play at Harrah's properities a good bit this time. Mostly because I saw quite a few shows in their casinos. When I checked room rates for September with them, I see I can have five nights Comped in Septemember when I am going back. I figured I would give their rooms a chance.

So I am probably going to be staying at Bally's. For the five days I have the choice of either South Tower Classic Comped or PetStay North Tower Deluxe. From what I read the North Tower is suppose to be better. Looking at the regular prices of the rooms it says the same. Problem I have is I am not bringing a Pet. I am sure the casino will not mind.

The thing I am scared about is, I don't want to be stuck 5 nights in a room with barking dogs on both sides of my room. I would go with the South Tower, but according to the amenities it does not have a room safe (hard to believe a Vegas room without a room safe). I know there is probably a chance of getting a regular North Tower room if there is one available.

If you were in my situation what would you do? Appreciate your insight!
I would obviously try to change to a regular N. Tower room at check-in regardless of which option you choose. A $20 tip as you check-in would probably get you what you want (have a $20 tip in your hand as you ask at check in but don't hand it off unless you are upgraded).

You need to ask yourself which option you prefer if a room change to a regular N. Tower room is not available:

- S. Tower rooms (not as nice but actually offer better views than the N. Tower)

- N. Tower pet stay (may or may not have pets nearby you can hear or a room you could tell had pets in it before)

Only you can decide which you prefer for your plan B. Nothing is a guarantee but you would have a great chance at a regular N. Tower if you aren't scared to tip.

Good Luck to you!

If it were me, I would call Paris or Planet Hollywood and see if they would comp you.
If not, I would make the resv. for the N.Tower and hope something better comes up in the meantime with another CET prop.
Chances are that if they offered Ballys, they also offered you Flamingo or Rio as well.
Flamingo is a better option.

Ballys is good location, but tends to have traveling groups at an alarming rate go through, it could be really loud.

Flamingo is never loud- at least not as many times as I spent there and the pool blows Ballys away.

Be sure to look at all rooms that would be comped and get your best deal.

I am allergic to cats ( yea- I know with my name), so if I were in a pet room it would kill me- I would suggest against it.

I stayed in a South tower suite at Bally's last year. Like CC said, see if you can stay someplace else.
i stayed in a south tower once and i liked it better than any north tower room i had.

whats more important to you, a safe or silence? keeping in mind that if you choose the south tower room, you may be sans safe AND have annoying loud party people on both sides. not all dogs bark 24/7 but most people are annoying 24/7.

its a gamble, but it is vegas so....

Word. You may also have Harrah's comped. And don't just jump on something because it's comped. It's more important to stay where you want to stay.

In my experience, HET has decent customer service when it comes to rooms. If you decide you don't like what they give you at Bally's, just call their main reservations and get it changed! Be sure you have your Total Rewards card.

Just got back from LV. Our South Tower Room at Bally's had a safe.
I've stayed at Bally's twice. The first was with a bachelor party group. I stayed in a South Tower room that was separated from the other rooms. It had a small refrigerator that didn't work, but the room was larger. Later that night when I went to bed I realized on the other side of the wall was the elevator well. You could hear the elevators all night long.

The second time I stayed, I roomed with someone who was comped a room in the North tower. It was night and day different. The room was elegant, there was a turn down service with the little chocolate left on your pillow.

Big thumbs up for a North room over a South room.
we stay at Bally's quite a bit. Several times in a row over the past couple of years in fact. We like North tower WAY more. It's far more recently updated and is more convenient from the casino.

We always stay comped and just simply request NORTH TOWER when booking. They usually just say that nothing can be guaranteed but that they would accommodate us if possible. Once upon booking they said that the N tower was full because we had arrived later than normal but they gave us a N T suite to use for one night and allowed us to move the second night.

We've also stayed at Flamingo about 3 times in regular rooms and GO rooms. It was fine. Even nice in the GO room but we still prefer Bally's.

I'm certain if you have Bally's comped you also have IP, Harrahs, Flamingo and possibly Rio. We've been able to get a good many comps with Caesar's Entertainment even with Low to Moderate play.

Good luck and enjoy your trip!
