Been a long time since I bought gas this cheap

$3.17 here in South Jersey
Anyone here from Texas? I remember driving through Texas and the gas prices were really cheap there.
You can always go to Gasbuddy.com and look at anywhere in the nation to see what the prices are. Currently, it appears that the area around Casper Wyoming is the least expensive at about $2.69

I live right outside of Dallas. Most places gas is the 2.95-2.99 range. I have seen it as low as 2.89 the last few days.

Anyone else seeing their prices going up again? Ours have gone from 2.92 back up to 3.14 at some stations.

No reason for that, oil prices are dropping.

PJ do you forget it was around 2.20 with Bush?
Not sure what PJ remembers.

But I remember gasoline costing $4.34 a gallon under President GWBush, in June 2008. So does the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

Then the economy crashed, and in six months, with moving trucks pulling up to the White House, pump prices were down 58%!

At no point has gas prices been as high under President Obama as it was at one point under President GWBush. Not once.

Not that either man has much to do with the price at the pump. Except when it's high and members of the opposing political party have nothing else to crab about.

As usual Chilcoot's propaganda is total bullshit.

One only needs to look at the historical prices for California. Not only were gas prices THE HIGHEST under Obama, but the average was too.

1. Unlike Roulette Man's local prices, my prices are national. Which makes sense for people talking about national issues. For all we know, California state or local governments (or both!) recently imposed new gas taxes. Heck, maybe there's a Conoco station in Ketchikan, Alaska that's more expensive now too!

2. Unlike Roulette Man's prices, my figures are adjusted for inflation, which is essential when comparing prices over time. Too obvious a thing to mention (or so I assumed).

3. I don't expect to persuade someone who thinks the U.S. Energy Information Administration, an entity within the U.S. Department of Energy, is a propaganda site. Such a person is definitely beyond my ability to reason with.

4. President Obama has yet to spend a month in the White House were he saw pump prices as high as America experienced under President GWBush in June 2008.

Wait a second. The supposedly most successful state that has a 2/3rds liberal majority doesn't count for gas prices? I assume those red states are the only ones that matter, right? Adjusted for inflation? WTF? All I know is that I recently paid the HIGHEST GAS PRICES EVER, and that is with very low inflation. Stop the bullshit. Everybody sees your agenda and how you conveniently omit items.
