You literally told a story about what a guy said. That is the exact definition of an anecdote. You should look words up before you claim to know what they mean.
Don't be so paranoid, I never claimed you "made shit up". I absolutely believe the conversation you referenced took place. The point is, it proves nothing, it was just a conversation about one mans opinion. An anecdote if you will. It is not proof of crime rates in countries that practice corporal, or capital punishment. You should look things like that up on the internet to provide actual proof instead of howling at the moon, also there are a number of online dictionaries.
