Bellagio Jackpot

Cpl. Alexander Degenhardt, in town for training at Nellis Air Force Base, won $2.8 million playing a Bally Money Vault slot machine on Sunday 19 February. This marks the second largest jackpot on a Bally Technologies machine ever.

The 26-year-old says he'll first use his winnings to help his mother and pregnant sister pay off bills and prepare for the new baby. He also said he'll likely replace the car he's been driving, since it has 250,000 miles on it. Hmm, . . . apparently there is no spouse involved in this good fortune; if any LVAer, male or female, should marry this Marine DonDiego will expect a finder's fee.

Cpl. Degenhardt just re-enlisted for four more years in the Marines. He says he will continue to serve, despite his new fortune.
Congrats dude. Wonder if he can buy himself out of the re-enlistment?
He had better (get out, that is) I remember my days in the Corps both as a young enlisted man and as a commisioned officer. If you had a twenty in your pocket you were hounded to death by your "buddies" for a "loan". I can only imagine his fortune in friends with over 2 mil to his name.
Wow!!! Good for him.

Gob bless our troops and let them hit megajackpots.
That's great for him! It's nice to see someone who can really use the money. I hope he spends it wisely and doesn't "piss" it away like some of the big lottery winners do.
