DonDiego opines the saboteurs are the correct bet.

There is a place on the drive up from Los Angeles to the Bay area called Harris Ranch. They produce very good beef that is sold at supermarkets and used by restaurants. I did not realize they also breed and raise race horses. Last year's Kentucky Derby winner, California Chrome was their horse. If you go into the hotel/bars/restaurants you will see pictures of race horses everywhere, including a big cardboard cutout of CC. Everybody got to like the one owner of California Chrome last year after the first two wins by CC, but he showed a very ugly side when he complained about what happened after California Chrome lost in the Belmont Stakes. He was 100% correct in what he stated, but he should have had someone else to do his complaining.

I'm rooting to see a triple crown winner, but I don't think it will happen this year.

Keen Ice for me.

Well American Pharaoh has proven himself the best of the group this year. So there is no reason why this would not continue. Cannot bet a horse that goes off at 1/5 and feel that good about it. Had AP in the Derby Futures and bet him both races previous. Love the Derby at 5/2 and the Preakness we were at the Casino and just wanted the action. Really if he stumbles coming out of the gate (which he has the problem in the past) he will still be able to make one more mistake and still win the Belmont. In many years past if you seen them in the Derby most returned for the Preakness and a few for the Belmont would try. This year it a cat and mouse game with Pletcher's entries. Hopefully AP will win the Triple Crown, racing should could use a boost.
I'd wheel the favorite in with almost any horse for a good payoff if they come in. He probably has the heart to stay close to the front if he can pace himself.
That said, the Belmont has broken many hearts. Trainers of distance horses wait for a spot in this one.

1.5 miles is way too long for these three year olds. I hate watching this particular race. The last 1/8 can change everything.

Tale of verve.
Sorry boys! American Pharoah ran away with it and innow the Triple Crown winner.
