Best first line of a song.

It's not like we did something wrong
We just burned down the church
While the choir within sang religious songs
And it's not like we thought we was right
We just played with the wheels of a passenger train
That cracked on the tracks one night

Inmates (We're All Crazy) - Alice Cooper
Well you say you got the blues,

Got holes in both of your shoes,

Feelin' alone and confused,

You got to keep on smilin', keep on smilin'

Keep on Smiling by Wet Willie

Here we come, walking down the street
We get the funiest looks from everyone we meet.

Maybe Davy never received your 'crush' letter. I'm a believer he was a member of The Monkees.

and in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make

I just heard on the radio this morning that 3 of the Monkees (Micky Dolenz, Davy Jones and Peter Tork) are going on tour to celebrate their 45th Anniversary.

I don't think the Appalachia Arena is on their schedule though.

ouch....that hurt. And I 'get' your "I'm a believer" preface, too.

Rock 'n Rick...that's okay. After singers who got famous at a young age get over the age of 60 it's a little embarrassing to watch them perform. I went to a concert with Elton John and Billy Joel a few years ago and even they squeaked on a couple of the notes. Plus, Elton was moving very slowly. It was sad. I prefer to remember my icons of yesteryear as they were, not as they are.

My dear, you should hear some of those groups that used to belt out those high notes. Now, they can't sing anywhere that range. What was the name of that show that brought back some of those groups? My god was the music bad. Quaterflash really sucked.
teechur,

I gave up 30 minutes of trick or treating one Halloween to stay home and watch those beloved zany Monkees once...
and Halloween meant free candy!!! once a year!
