777 brew pub at Main Street (good, inexpensive beer and various food specials, though no VP at the bar).
Chicago Brewing Company at 4 Queens (good beer and 1/2 price apps, with VP at the bar).
Avoid the strip.

The 777 inside the MSS has TWO happy hours!

I like the sirloin sliders, maybe fish tacos or wings.

Now THAT is what I am talking about! Thank you for posting the pics!!!!!!! I figure I can do an early happy hour as lunch and a late happy hour as dinner. I already have Emeril's at the MGM on the list for the Alligator balls (meat balls, NOT the other kind- ewwwwww). My last trip I had Happy Hour frog legs that were excellent. Now if the Baccarat tables will just be kind to me...

at 777, that 23 oz draft for $3 sounds like a heck of a deal!
We like Ellis Island for the BBQ. Also the cafe has a steak special.
After looking at those app pics from Alanleroy. all I can say is:
"You're killin' me, Smalls. You're killin' me."
Great photos, AlanLeroy.

Any trip downtown involves me sipping on a great beer at MSS. But $3 for a 23-ounce beer isn't all that value related considering it's only $4.50 normally and free on the casino floor, even if you want to play single coin on pennies or nickel VP.

The pints at the Main Street Station are $2.50 at the bar,if you want to buy one.
Comped,if you feel like some 9/6 video poker.
Porters, ales and some wheat beers on tap!Bottle beers at the tables:Coronas and Modello's,but the Modello's don't fit in the drink holders!
The 777 happy hours are really good. NO SMOKING IN THERE.
It can get really noisy in there, but not smoky.
Just seat your self at the bar and a happy hour menu will appear,no problemo.

What about hot doggies?
The D?
Bonnie liked 'em.
