Best mixed drinks

I'm gonna need a bit of the South while I'm in Vegas. Where can I go for the best Hurricane or Mojito?
What about Mermaids downtown? They have about 10 slurp machines with all kinds of fun concoctions sold by the yard!
"a bit of the South" I've never heard this term before.

Lots of good frozen drinks in Vegas but I'm not a Hurricane or Mojito person. Sorry. You talking free mixed drinks or for $?
Cheesecake Factory, and the Grand Luxe restaurants at V/P, make awesome pineapple-basil mojitos, yum!!!

Thanks for the info vp. Yeah, I was talking about paying at a good bar. I don't expect too much from my free drinks when I'm gambling - unless I'm at the Wynn.

I love the frozen hurricanes at that bar our front of IP and the bar outside Coyote Ugly.

I've eaten at the bar at the Grand Luxe, and you are right the mojitos are excellent. That being said, bartenders hate them, because there is more work to them.
Check this out, here.

It has a bunch of reviews and info about the Vegas bar scene.

I'm willing to bet ANY of the bars at the Cosmo will make you very happy watch the video!!
i can't speak for Hurricanes or Mojitos, but the scotch flows freely at the Chicago Brewing Co at the 4Qs. I was staying there last summer and stopped in one afternoon for a predinner cocktail or two before dinner and to see if I could watch the Mariner game. They put the game on, so instead of playing vp I just paid for the first one. I drink Dewars on the rocks with a splash of soda. She returned with a bucket glass full of Dewars and just a little soda. Perfect ratio and the price was only $4.50!!!!!!!! It was easily a double plus. My next was comped as I was playing, same drink and the comp receipt said $4.50. I thought since it was free pour, she might have been "buying a tip," as we call it in the biz. I returned the next day to find a different bartender and ordered another with the same results. So maybe that's how CBC wants drinks poured or I just happened to catch the two BTers that overpour, whatever the case those were the best drinks I've ever gotten in Vegas.

Good Luck!

For a good, genuine mojito, try the Florida Cafe on Las Vegas Ave. halfway between the North Strip and Downtown.

Good, genuine Cuban food, for that matter.
