Best of list

It's been a while and some ask for more Vegas related so let's do an updated best of Vegas list.

So make up your own. Best whatever....happy hour, cheap eats, shows, activity, drink, deals. Whatever you'd like. You come to vegas and you must....do this???
Best Blackjack - El Cortez or the Horn casinos (Long Horn / Big Horn)
Best BBQ - Still Ellis Island for me
Best Ice Cream - Lappert's in the CAL
Best Golf - Paiute or Reflection Bay but I have not had many bad golf experiences in Vegas
Best Drink Deal - again Ellis Island with the LVA coupon
Best Airline - Southwest, my golf clubs fly free!
Best Rental Car - I still like Dollar, but you need to book early and there is always a delay getting out of the garage
Best Sandwich - Capriotti's Cole Turkey
Best Bakery - Freed's and the donut bar on 6th street downtown
Best Jogging - I now love jogging down freemont and the surrounding area - the strip has too many people and stairs!
Best Italian Food - Nora's
Best lounge act - Pia Zadora @ Piero's
Best blackjack. Sams town for friendly dealers and relaxing atmosphere. Blackjack switch. Anywhere I can find it. Someone had me playing ultimate Texas hold 'em at tables and it was fun. Have held my own the few times I've played. Not at all casinos.

Best happy hour. Hard rock- culinary dropout (antipasto plate and fries). Pink taco. The chicken sandwich things (not happy hour but the tostado salad)

Best sushi (yes, I want some sushi today). Sushi koma ayce

Best comfort foodie food. Hash house a go go. Chicken eggs Benedict. But "fun" stuff with "regular" food.

Best I am in Mexico without being in Mexico experience b the outdoor flea market.

Best casino. Cosmo surprisingly. Had free tickets to a show a few years back. Spent an hour playing before and they won my business with good atmosphere, good service, good play and good comps. I also enjoy hard rock, but they can have issues from time to time and I have never won in there, but can sometimes play in there and be even.

Best show is always ka for me.

Best drink. Chambord margarita. Where to get the best one. Pink taco. This drink is hard to get a consistent one. Toss up at times.

I do recommend freeds bakery as well.

Best cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory. Turtle actually their sampler with the mushroom avocado and zucchini. The bomb. Also that fig pizza . I must be craving things today.

Best non gaming break. Find a $20 plus ten tip reflexology. I used to only go to full service spas. No more. These places are awesome.
Also like a good pedicure from any of the 20 plus five places.

--------------

Would love any recommends for pizza because Vegas pizza sucks. Please don't say settebellos. Brought home my husband my leftovers and he says this sucks. And he doesn't say that about food. Lol.

Also fast food or quick bites on the go and what is your fave menu item. We don't eat fast food much. But necessary at times.

Bonus points for any recommends on the east side. But am often all over the valley.

Also any favorite card, dice or Board games. We play a lot of games.

Best pizza I've found is Enzo's. Sunset and Green Valley. Authentic Long Island Pizza.
Close second is in the shopping plaza across from the Hard Rock. Something New York Pizza.
I want to say Johnnys, but I forget the name. They have a second location on Las Vegas Blvd by the Outlet mall south of Warm Springs.
I'll second the Horns and El Cortez for blackjack.
No longer find Ellis Island good, let alone best at anything.
Overall best casino I will go with South Point.
Friendliest locals casino-Emerald Isle in Henderson.
Best Dive Bar-The Hitching Post Saloon, up near Nellis, now that the Double Down has been nullified.
Best new attraction- The Trailer Park on Fremont.
Best Afternoon show- Mac King, even with its insane price increases threats few years.

I'm not familiar with some of the places bill mentioned, but I'll second the "Overall Best Casino" as Southpoint.
Best 24 hour restaurant in a hotel - Grand Lux Cafe
Best happy hour - BLT Steakhouse at Bally's (free popovers and half priced martinis (not half priced fu-fu drinks)
Best Old School Steakhouse not in a hotel - The Golden Steer
Best show in Vegas to have recently closed - Jersey Boys
Best and Most Fascinating Museum - The Mob Museum
Best Pancakes: Dupars at Golden Gate or now at Suncoast
Best Constant Running Offer: Dinner and a Movie at Suncoast with 1000 points in a day.
Best Poker Room: Orleans
Best Free Diversion: Bellagio Conservatory
Best Cheap Diversion: The Pin Ball Hall of Fame
Best Free Way to Kill 3 Hours: Listen to Bands at Fremont Street
Best Old School Casino Feel: California-MSS
Best restaurant/best retail/best scenery/best everything: Three Dog Bakery
Best entertainment bang for the buck - a tie between Sigma Derby at the D and the Pinball Hall of Fame. $10 at either one gives you an hour of pure fun....
I have had great fun playing Sigma Derby with friends.
