Best tri-tips in Vegas?

I consider myself a bbq connoisseur, yet tri tip was off my radar. Didn't know it was a west coast thing. And for some reason, I find brisket to be horrible, dry And overcooked almost always. More of a rib girl most of the time. All that being said, I also run from chains but I do remember getting a platter with tri tip and sausage from lucilles and it was pretty tasty.

As for best cheap ribs I've found. The dive cafe at silver sevens or whatever terribles is called these days. They are decent for a cheap non bbq place. Never heard or seen a bbq place by barleys???

I'll order bbq in vegas if I must, but I don't seek it out.
Brisket is an extremely tough piece of meat and the low and slow cooking of it tenderizes it. While Tri-tip is sometimes smoked, most people prefer it on the barbecue.

The cut of meat supposedly became popular in the city of Santa Maria, and there is even a Santa Maria tri-tip. While brisket is usually a BBQ place thing, tri-tip is not and will be served at other restaurants.
This is the marinade I use. The flavor of the crust is wonderful. I usually pour any of the remaining sauce on the top of the meat on the last turn on the barbecue and let it cook the last five minutes.
